00:00 Happy Sunday to all of us, I'm Benison Estareja.
00:04 The cold North-East monsoon or "Amihan" is still continuing to hit the large part of Luzon,
00:10 which is also bringing mild to moderate rain, especially in the eastern part.
00:15 Meanwhile, based on our latest satellite animation, there is still sometimes heavy rain in many areas of southern Luzon,
00:23 especially in the northern part of Mindanao, which is near the shear line or the line where the cold North-East monsoon and hot wind from the Pacific Ocean meets.
00:33 Meanwhile, if you notice, the low pressure area in the north of Mindanao has been completely dissolved or has become shallow circulation only.
00:41 So it means that it will not affect our land directly and it has become a cloud cluster only,
00:47 which is not even close to the large part of Visayas.
00:52 Although we do not expect a storm to enter our area of responsibility in the next 2 to 3 days,
00:57 we have seen a cloud cluster or a cloud of clouds here in Meso-Lucy and also here in the eastern part of Luzon.
01:03 None of these we can see that it will be a storm, but this one in Meso-Lucy is possible,
01:08 that it will be a low pressure area within 2 to 3 days and it will bring rain here in the large part of southern Luzon,
01:16 western section of Visayas and western portions of Mindanao.
01:21 In the next few hours, the chances of rain here in Visayas are still high,
01:25 as well as in Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Romblon and Palawan,
01:31 and here in Mindanao, in the Carraga region and northern Mindanao,
01:35 because of the shear line or the line of the coastline of cold and hot wind.
01:40 So sometimes the rain is strong there and be careful of possible floods,
01:45 floods of rivers and landslides, so always be on the lookout for advisories and heavy rainfall warnings of the forecast.
01:52 Here in the eastern part of Luzon, like Valley, Apayau, Quezon and Aurora,
01:57 the dark times are still expected in the next few hours and there is also a chance of light rain,
02:03 as well as the northeast monsoon.
02:05 The things that we did not mention here in Luzon,
02:07 overnight, the chances of rain are high and sometimes it will be bright at night,
02:12 but we are still expecting a slight drizzle while there are localized thunderstorms here in the Bangsamoro region,
02:17 Soxargen and Zamboanga Peninsula overnight.
02:20 Tomorrow, Monday, November 20, the chances of rain are still high here in the southern Luzon,
02:27 the shear line or the line of the coastline of cold and hot wind.
02:31 We are asking our fellow citizens here in Mimaropa to bring an umbrella,
02:35 as well as in a large part of the Bicol region, especially in Sorsogon and Masbate,
02:41 to be careful of floods and landslides.
02:43 Here in the eastern part of Luzon, particularly in the Camarines provinces,
02:49 Quezon, Aurora, Cagayan Valley, and here in Apayau and Calinga,
02:53 the chances of light rain and dark times are still high, as well as the northeast monsoon.
03:00 Here in the remaining part of Luzon, Metro Manila is still in the forecast,
03:04 with the chances of light rain and thunderstorms are still high.
03:10 Temperatures in Metro Manila are possible to drop to 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.
03:15 To our fellow citizens in Visayas, the forecast is still for a rainy season within 24 hours by tomorrow,
03:22 and we have a chance of heavy rain that may cause floods and landslides,
03:27 because of the shear line.
03:29 To our fellow citizens in Mindanao, it's still early,
03:32 and the rain continues here in the northern Mindanao and Caraga region,
03:37 because of the shear line, be careful of floods and landslides,
03:40 and always follow the advisories of the government.
03:43 For the rest of Mindanao, the sky is partly cloudy,
03:46 and the rain is only accumulating in the morning here in the Zamboanga del Norte, Davao de Oro, and Davao Oriental,
03:53 while there are localized thunderstorms in some parts of Mindanao from the afternoon to the evening.
03:59 We still have a gale warning because of the northeast monsoon
04:04 in the north and east of Luzon and Visayas.
04:07 Up to 4.5 meters or more than one-half of the house's floor is covered by thunderstorms.
04:12 Here in Batanes, Cagayan, Ilocos Provinces, below Isabela, Aurora,
04:18 in Northern Quezon, the other side of the Polilio Islands, Calaguas Islands, Rapu-Rapu,
04:24 Northern and Eastern portions of Catanduanes, Northern and Eastern coast of Northern Samar,
04:31 there are severe thunderstorms in small coastal areas, especially in our fishermen.
04:37 And in the coming days, because the northeast monsoon will remain strong,
04:42 the sea level will still be high, especially in the north and east of Luzon.
04:48 And when the midweek comes, the rainy season will still be expected,
04:53 especially in Visayas and Southern Luzon, where there is still a shear line.
04:59 And here in the western side, the areas near the West Philippine Sea and Sulu Sea,
05:03 including Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and Zamboanga Peninsula,
05:07 the chances of rain will increase by Tuesday because of the possible low-pressure air or shallow circulation.
05:14 So if here in Metro Manila, Tuesday to Thursday,
05:17 the weather conditions will be almost the same as in Iraljaan, part of the cloudy,
05:21 and sometimes the sky is cloudy only, accompanied by a moment of light rain,
05:27 just like the northeast monsoon.
05:29 Our temperature will drop between 24 to 25 degrees Celsius.
05:33 For our fellowmen in Baguio City, the possible lowest possible temperature is still 15 to 16 degrees Celsius.
05:40 In the middle of this week, the northeast monsoon will still be in Iral,
05:44 sunny in the morning, but accompanied by a light rain in the afternoon and evening.
05:48 For our fellowmen here in Bicol Region, the weather will still be cloudy,
05:55 but the rainfall here in Legazpi City will not be as strong as in the past few days.
06:00 In general, we will only experience light rains in the middle of this week,
06:05 like the northeast monsoon or the rainy season.
06:08 For our fellowmen in Metro Cebu, Tuesday and Wednesday,
06:13 we will still expect scattered rain and thunderstorms,
06:15 like the shearline or the cold and hot winds.
06:19 Be careful of flooding and landslides.
06:23 By Thursday, the weather will be better,
06:25 and the rainfall will be reduced,
06:27 accompanied by a warm temperature by the end of the day.
06:30 And lastly, for our fellowmen in Dina, over Metro Davao and a large part of Davao Region,
06:36 Tuesday to Thursday, we will expect a cloudy and sometimes sunny weather,
06:41 accompanied by a brief rain in the afternoon and evening due to localized thunderstorms.
06:47 The sun will set at 5.24 pm,
06:51 and it will be bright again tomorrow, one minute before 6 am.
06:54 That's all the latest from the Weather Forecasting Center of Pagasa.
