00:00 Hello, I'm Adrian, and today I am surrounded by many beautiful flowers because I have come
00:14 to the Sijian Huazhou Park in the town of Henglang Zhongshan.
00:19 From November 16th to 30th, the 2023 China Zhongshan Flower and Trade Exhibition will
00:26 be happening in this beautiful venue.
00:28 This vibrant venue with its beautiful bloom has really attracted my attention.
00:34 Is there anything exciting happening today?
00:37 Let's go check it out together.
00:42 Henglang is known as the hometown of Chinese flowers and trees.
00:46 It's also the largest trading market of green seedlings in southern China.
00:51 As the heart of Zhongshan's flower and tree industry, it has over 30,000 new flowers and
00:58 tree bases.
00:59 That's about 4,942 acres.
01:03 It's huge!
01:05 Every year, the amount of sales from Henglang to various places in China and other southeastern
01:11 Asian countries exceeds 5 billion yuan.
01:16 During the fair, the Investment Promotion Conference for the flowers and trees industry
01:21 and the Promotion Marketing Matchmaking Meetings will be held.
01:24 It aims to create high-level communication and a trading platform for the national flower
01:28 and tree industry to promote industry integration and to enhance investment opportunities and
01:34 promotion.
01:38 This area is the national exhibition of new and excellent flowers and new high-quality
01:44 tree products.
01:46 So in this area, you can see flowers and trees from all of the different regions across China
01:52 and the sellers bring their latest and greatest seedlings and flower products to market.
02:00 In southern China, Bougainvillea's bloom in autumn and winter and you can see the Bougainvillea
02:05 in full bloom everywhere.
02:07 In late autumn, the pink flowers color the Sijiang River and what surprised me is that
02:13 in Henglang, they house the most complete variety in all of south China.
02:20 Today there are over 130 different types of Bougainvillea's on display.
02:27 The Bougainvillea's have a vibrant color and the staff has told me that they are a compact
02:33 flower with concentrated flowering periods which makes them very suitable for display
02:38 and shaping.
02:40 What I really like though are their names.
02:43 They've got names such as the California Gold, the Blonde Bombshell, Snow White or the Indian
02:49 Pitcher.
02:50 Whatever their names are, they are beautiful with full, rich, vibrant colors.
03:01 After 20 years of upgrading, transformation and development, Henglang is no longer the
03:07 remote impoverished area it used to be.
03:10 But it's not just Henglang.
03:12 Other towns too like Guizhou and Shaolan which are known for their flowers and seedlings
03:17 have combined to promote the development of the flower and tree industry here in Zhongshan.
03:24 So we welcome you to come down to the China Zhongshan Flower and Tree Exhibition.
03:31 Come and experience the tranquility, peace and beauty that can only be experienced by
03:37 thousands of acres of beautiful blooming fields of flowers.
