00:00 Hey, this is Barry Lewis with TCU Fan Nation Killer Frogs dot com coming to
00:04 you from Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, where we
00:08 just witnessed an old fashioned Big 12 shootout. Unfortunately, it did not go
00:13 the frogs way, losing 69 to 45 to the number 13 Sooners. The frogs into their
00:19 season. Disappointingly, at five and seven, they become the first team in a
00:24 non covid shortened year to be to play in the college football playoffs one
00:28 year and not make a bowl. The next Oklahoma at number 13 and 10 and two
00:33 are still in contention to play in the Big 12 championship game next week.
00:37 They need a few things to happen with games tonight and tomorrow. We'll say
00:40 we'll see what happens there. Um, it is kind of poetic justice. If you think
00:44 that oh, use last game as a member of the Big 12 does come down to a shootout.
00:49 The numbers in this game were absolutely incredible. TCU was down 42
00:54 to 16 and a half. You thought they were out of it. But like we saw against
00:58 Texas Tech, like we saw against Texas, this team does have something to them
01:02 in the second half that does get them back into the games down 42 16 at half.
01:07 They were down only by 14 points in the third quarter. A couple of different
01:11 times. They just could not catch up. If you look at the numbers alone, you
01:15 would say TCU had a great game. Unfortunately, they were just on the
01:18 wrong side of this. There were over 1100 combined total offensive yards
01:23 between the two teams of that. 520 were for TCU 607 for Oklahoma on TCU side.
01:31 Josh Hoover went 32 for 58. He had four touchdowns through the air, another
01:37 one rushing, um, and had just the one interception, which came late in the
01:41 game. Frogs did win the turnover battle, and we're almost gonna go with a
01:45 perfect game until very late in the game. There. Um, Amani Bailey had an
01:50 incredible game. He's well over the 1000 yards for the season. He had 150
01:54 yards on 21 carries today. Um, on the O. U. Side Dylan Gabriel. That was the
02:01 story. He was injured in last week's game with an upper body injury. He was
02:06 questionable for today, but Sonny Dykes did say after the post in the post
02:09 game that they didn't anticipate Gabriel to play, and they just weren't
02:13 prepared for what he had to offer. He went 24 for 38 had three touchdowns.
02:18 Um, total yards was 400 yards just in passing Drake Stoops. This crowd goat
02:25 was would go so crazy when Drake Stoops would get the ball. He was targeted 14
02:30 times, caught 12 of them for 125 yards and a touchdown. Sonny Dykes after the
02:37 after the game was asked specifically about the defense. A lot of the points
02:40 given up in the last few games. Um, what he would be doing to evaluate that his
02:45 comment was everything is under consideration from the pregame meal to
02:49 who's calling the calls. So we'll see what comes there. Um, he says he just
02:53 needs some time to do some evaluation of that. We also met post game with Josh
02:57 Hoover, Amani Bailey and Jojo Earl. All three of them basically are ready for
03:01 spring ball to begin. They know where they need to go, and they think they're
03:05 gonna have some success next year. With that, that brings the season to an end.
03:09 Thank you for watching us. Stay tuned for what we have covered for the rest
03:13 the season. Barry Lewis from Norman, thank you.
