It's one of the biggest fireworks shows in the world and organisers of this years New Year's Eve celebration on Sydney Harbour are promising it won't disappoint.

00:00 As one of the first cities in the world to strike midnight, Sydney always shamelessly shimmies its way into the new year.
00:09 It flaunts the glittering harbour, bridge and opera house as the stars of the show, and this year will be as bold and bright as ever.
00:17 The countdown has started. Sydney is upbeat and ready for the biggest party of the year.
00:23 58,000 individual fireworks will sparkle across the night sky in a display that's taken about 4,000 hours to put together.
