00:00 Well, we are tracking our big storm that is moving across the country.
00:10 If your eyes zoom in behind me, well, you'll note it's set right in the center here and
00:15 it is going to continue to track east here over these next few days throughout the weekend.
00:19 And if we look at the upper level energy map, well, we have plenty of energy to play around
00:23 with here in the atmosphere as this storm is going to continue to dive east, impacting
00:27 the east coast even throughout early Monday.
00:30 It's still sticking around here across parts of the northeast.
00:34 Here's your setup here, Sunday night, because this is where the meat and potatoes of the
00:37 storm is going to be for the northeast.
00:40 That is, I mean, today the action is happening a little bit further west, but you'll note
00:44 those chilly winds are behind this.
00:46 So we're tapping into some cooler air.
00:48 We're talking rain and snow there across the interior northeast.
00:50 And well, hey, a nice hefty dose of snow there too for parts of the higher elevations.
00:56 Folks take this in the Sunday night, Saturday night, this around 8 p.m.
00:59 Eastern time.
01:00 We're starting to see that rain inch closer and closer until eastern Ohio, western Pennsylvania.
01:04 That's going to be the story a few storms even out ahead of it throughout the early
01:07 hours on Saturday, the afternoon.
01:09 But as we take this in the Saturday evening, that's when things are going to start to ramp
01:13 up and we have a textbook cold front that's going to be pushing through.
01:17 And while here you see it kind of becoming more and more distinct here on future radar,
01:22 it is going to continue to dive east and as it does slide east, well, heads up early,
01:28 late morning, early afternoon, that heavy rain is already starting to move in the areas
01:31 like Philadelphia down through the Delmarva, Washington, D.C.
01:34 And then as we head into the late afternoon and early evening on Sunday, well, we're just
01:38 going to be, we're just going to continue to pump moisture into these areas.
01:42 So heads up, New York City is going to be a drencher of a Sunday afternoon through even
01:47 Sunday night into early Monday and similar story in Boston.
01:50 As we take this into the afternoon, well, it's eventually going to slide offshore.
01:53 Now, what's distinct about this storm is that we are tapping in a plenty of tropical moisture.
01:58 So we are talking about two to four inches and that's very significant here for this
02:02 time of year that we're able to tap into so much tropical moisture.
02:05 Two to four inches there situated right along the eastern seaboard with your accurate local
02:09 storm max as high as seven inches.
02:11 Now that snow Sunday evening into Monday, we are talking some hefty amount of snow for
02:16 our higher elevations, the Adirondacks, the Green and White Mountains, your accurate local
02:19 storm max as high as 18 inches and those winds are going to be howling as well.
02:24 So again, it's going to be quite blustery.
02:26 Power outages are going to be a concern.
