00:00 Beautiful day across the Northeast today.
00:02 Yes, there are a few exceptions.
00:04 We do have more cloud cover for
00:06 cities like Buffalo, Rochester,
00:08 and even a spotty shower can't be
00:11 totally counted out in Burlington,
00:12 Vermont.
00:13 But once you head into,
00:15 let's say Portland, Boston,
00:16 New York, Pittsburgh 60s sunshine.
00:18 Absolutely gorgeous.
00:18 Even 72 degrees in Washington DC and 81.
00:21 Awfully warm in Charleston,
00:23 West Virginia.
00:24 Enjoy it now.
00:25 Hate to be the bearer of bad news for the
00:28 weekend, but here we go again.
00:30 Always seems like the worst
00:32 weather happens on the weekend,
00:33 and this weekend is no exception
00:35 as our massive storm.
00:36 The one we've been watching for days
00:38 has finally traveled across the
00:40 country and will get into the Northeast.
00:42 The Ohio Valley and the Mid Atlantic.
00:44 Now if you live in New England,
00:46 you're spared the worst of the weather.
00:48 Boston, Portland, Manchester,
00:49 New Hampshire,
00:49 even looking out toward Providence,
00:51 Rhode Island.
00:52 Your weekends not so bad.
00:53 However,
00:53 if you live a little further South right
00:55 as you're getting into the southern
00:57 part of New York through the Keystone
00:59 State and down through New Jersey
01:01 into the Delmarva Peninsula,
01:02 you are going to be seeing some
01:04 soaking rain on Saturday into
01:06 Saturday night and even Sunday.
01:08 Lingering showers as this
01:09 system moves off the coast.
01:10 Saturday is the worst of the
01:12 two days without a doubt,
01:13 but it isn't going to be pleasant
01:15 on Sunday either.
01:16 If you had plans to get outdoors,
01:18 I'd say make some indoor plans
01:19 as you move through this weekend.
01:21 Again,
01:21 looking through most of New England
01:23 as the one area avoiding the worst
01:25 of the weather couple quick showers
01:26 on the way into northern New England
01:28 out toward Caribou, Maine,
01:29 back to Burlington.
01:30 But you'll see more showers back
01:32 in the way of Altoona, Pennsylvania,
01:34 looking really from I-99 on to the
01:35 West out toward Pittsburgh and then
01:37 back through New York City onto the
01:39 Delmarva Peninsula, Washington DC,
01:40 and Baltimore.
01:41 The heaviest of rain for this entire
01:43 weekend looking right across the I-80
01:45 corridor if you do live in,
01:47 let's say Altoona or even heading
01:48 out through the Poconos back
01:50 towards Stroudsburg and even
01:51 into New York City heads up.
01:53 You've got a soaking wet weekend ahead,
01:55 especially because of Saturday.
01:56 Heavy rain into South Jersey as well.
01:59 Out toward Atlantic City.
02:00 Make sure you're really staying careful,
02:02 not just because travel will be a problem,
02:04 but we could see some issues in
02:06 terms of very localized flooding.
02:08 Because what we've had more than
02:09 enough rain in these areas now,
02:11 a little bit of good news.
02:13 I love to end the forecast
02:14 with some good stuff here.
02:16 Giants taking on the bills on Sunday
02:18 evening 820 kickoff and in terms of
02:20 the forecast is it picture perfect?
02:22 No, is it bad?
02:23 I'd say no.
02:24 I mean we are looking at some cloud
02:26 cover and will be in the 40s.
02:27 Accuweather real field temperatures
02:28 in the mid 40s, but let's get real.
02:31 It's Buffalo in October.
02:32 That shouldn't be so much of a surprise,
02:34 but it won't be pouring and it'll be at
02:36 least nice enough weather to get the game done.
