00:00 Dallas Cowboys critics have been saying for quite some time they need a signature win.
00:06 They need to beat a good team.
00:08 They need to blow out a contender.
00:10 The Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night here at AT&T Stadium did all of those things in a
00:16 resounding 33-13 victory over a good Philadelphia Eagles team.
00:21 And in doing so, the Dallas Cowboys have, at least for the moment, moved into first
00:25 place in the NFC East.
00:27 They do so with one of those all three phases efforts and headline grabbing efforts.
00:33 Let's start on offense where Dak Prescott and his performance here, very crisp and very
00:39 efficient and very much now the leader in the MVP race.
00:44 Because he and Jalen Hurts, by many odds makers' guesstimations, were one and two.
00:51 Well, it's not Jalen Hurts after this night.
00:53 He was subpar to say the least and Dak Prescott was outstanding.
01:00 On defense, Michael Parsons registers a sack, part of a Cowboy defense that did not allow
01:06 an Eagles touchdown.
01:07 The Eagles, by the way, are reeling in so many ways.
01:10 They were also a dismal failure last week against the 49ers.
01:13 So in terms of they don't beat anybody, it's actually the Eagles who just got done losing
01:19 to the 49ers in lopsided fashion and losing to Cowboys now, back to back weeks, in lopsided
01:25 fashion.
01:26 But Micah registers an early sack that gives him 12 and a half for the year.
01:32 Puts him in one of the most exclusive clubs there is.
01:35 There are only two guys now in the history of NFL football since they started recording
01:40 sacks who have 12 in each of their first three seasons.
01:45 The first one is Reggie White and the new member of that club is Micah Parsons and he
01:52 did it tonight despite flu-like symptoms.
01:56 And he and the Cowboy defense obviously played very well.
01:59 Part of what they accomplished here was forcing fumbles and Jalen Hurts and the Eagles have
02:04 a fumble problem.
02:05 The last time these two teams played a couple weeks ago, the Eagles fumbled three times.
02:10 Fortunately for them, all the balls bounced right back into their hands as if they were
02:13 basketballs.
02:14 Normally, you know, football has points on it.
02:18 It's not supposed to bounce that way.
02:19 And tonight it was the Cowboys who were able to benefit from those three fumbles.
02:24 And then on special teams, Brandon Aubrey, the rookie soccer player from Notre Dame and
02:29 the USFL and McKinney right down the street is perfect still and not perfect on chip shots.
02:36 This was 60 yards and 59 yards tonight.
02:39 He is booming them and he is perfect.
02:41 So special teams and defense and offense all really in tune as the Cowboys move to 10-3.
02:50 Same record as the 49ers, same record as the Eagles.
02:54 The criticism that they don't beat anybody, that they haven't beat a good team.
02:58 You know what?
02:59 You could be sarcastic here and keep the criticism up by saying, after the way the Eagles played
03:04 tonight and last week, and I'm kidding now, maybe the Cowboys still haven't beaten a good
03:09 team with the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington at AT&T Stadium.
03:14 Fish out.
03:14 out.
