Wonderful Winter Talents at Enchant Scottsdale
Enchant is the world’s largest holiday light event experience encompassing over 10 acres of festive programming inclusive of a dazzling installation of larger-than-life, custom designed, and story-driven light sculptures. 00:02 - All right, the entertainment out here is amazing
00:09 and it's all because of this young lady right here, Nikki.
00:12 This is great.
00:13 How many performers are out here tonight?
00:14 - We have about 40 per night, yes, here at Enchant.
00:17 Christmas at Scottsdale.
00:19 - And they have them from the singers to the performers?
00:22 - We do.
00:22 So our titles, all of our talent is anyone
00:25 from our Mrs. Claus, our Santa Claus,
00:27 our dancing and singing elves.
00:28 We have seer wheel artists, circ artists,
00:31 jugglers, stilt walkers, you name it, we have it here.
00:34 - Wow, and this is your second year doing this.
00:36 So you saw new talent come through, didn't you?
00:38 - Yes, we've had tons of submissions
00:41 between last year and this year,
00:42 and I have a really great team this year,
00:44 so I'm really excited.
00:45 - So you said submissions.
00:46 So people actually audition to be out here?
00:48 - They do.
00:49 We have in-person auditions
00:50 and then we take virtual submissions as well.
00:52 - Is everybody local or anybody from out of town?
00:54 - For the most part, local.
00:55 Last year, we had some talent coming in from Vegas,
00:58 but this year we like to keep it strictly local
01:00 and we have tons of talent here,
01:02 so it was pretty easy to find.
01:03 - Never a dull moment walking around
01:05 on the concourse or down below.
01:06 - No, never a dull moment.
01:08 So lots of fun things to look at
01:11 and beautiful, beautiful Christmas singers.
01:14 - All right, well, okay, you said Christmas singers,
01:15 so I'm thinking audition, when are auditions held,
01:18 just in case if you need someone,
01:20 you know, chestnuts roasting on an open fire.
01:23 I'm just saying, you know.
01:24 - Tired.
01:25 - Am I, yeah.

01:27 People do wonder when are auditions,
01:28 'cause I know once people come out through here,
01:29 they're gonna be like, "Ooh, I wanna be a part of this."
01:31 - Absolutely, we'll be back here next year
01:33 and we have auditions between August and September,

01:46 'cause what I love is that there's different sections,
01:48 different singers going on.
01:49 And actually, each night you can see something different?
01:52 - Yeah, we try to bring in a lot of variety.
01:55 I have quite a large roster and I just rotate everybody.
01:59 So, you know, we do have some guests that come back
02:01 for a second and third night
02:02 and we wanna make sure that they see something new
02:04 each night.
02:05 - All right, I hate to do this,
02:06 I had to put you on the spot.
02:07 What's your favorite right now?
02:09 - Ooh, that's tough.
02:10 I wanna see, say like the main man himself, Santa Claus.
02:14 - Can't go wrong with that.
02:16 - Can't go wrong with Santa Claus,
02:17 but we have a fantastic sear wheel artist named Sean Cook,
02:21 absolutely fantastic.
02:23 And then we have Paulina Milligan,
02:25 who is a hand balancer and hula hoop artist.
02:29 They're just absolutely breathtaking.
02:31 - I like it, there it is.
02:32 So the entertainment out here going, of course,
02:35 all night long, but you can enjoy it,
02:37 which is really fun to see.
02:38 And again, is it free to see the entertainment?
02:41 - It is, yes, there is no extra charge for entertainment.
02:44 A lot of them are buskers, so they'll be coming up to you.
02:46 And then others will be on our small stages
02:49 near the ice rink and then out on the concourse.
02:51 - Yeah, throughout the concourse,
02:52 not just when you walk in the door,
02:54 you get some singers, but all across, it's amazing.
