00:00 How's it going everybody?
00:01 Randall Sweet, All Sooners.com here to talk more about OU's 2024 recruiting class.
00:06 I'm going to talk about OU's most recent commitment, Eddie Pierre-Louis.
00:11 Now Eddie Pierre-Louis is a very athletic offensive lineman from the Tampa Bay area,
00:17 Tampa Catholic High School.
00:18 If you'll remember, in last year's recruiting class, OU actually signed Lewis Carter, who
00:23 was a freshman this year, from Tampa Catholic.
00:26 And so tapping back into the weld here with Eddie Pierre-Louis.
00:29 And if you watch his film, you'll see why.
00:30 This is definitely a Bill Biedenboe style offensive lineman.
00:33 He's listed at about 6'3", 320-330 pounds.
00:39 So again, already a massive human being.
00:42 And if you go to his Twitter page, you can see a video of him running track, running
00:46 the 100.
00:47 And he moves very, very well for a guy who's 330 pounds, especially at the high school
00:51 level.
00:52 And so again, like I said, fits that Bill Biedenboe mold of very physical, will bury
00:56 a guy at the line of scrimmage if you go watch his tape, you'll see him put multiple guys
01:00 on the ground.
01:01 But also plays with great effort, plays with really good speed, like I mentioned, running
01:04 the 100.
01:05 He'll run downfield 30 yards, 40 yards, as far as he needs to, to block guys.
01:10 He loves to get to the second level, demolish some of those linebackers, some of those safeties,
01:13 some of those defensive backs.
01:15 And in a way, he really reminds me of a Eugene Brooks, where he played a lot of tackle in
01:19 high school, he's probably going to move over to the interior in college.
01:23 Both physical guys who love to get to the second level play with a lot of physicality,
01:27 play with a lot of effort.
01:28 But I think that the thing that separates the two is that Eddie Pierre-Louis has a different
01:32 level of athleticism than Eugene Brooks.
01:35 And if you look at the recruiting rankings, Eddie Pierre-Louis is actually, depending
01:38 on what service you look at, rated as the number one interior offensive lineman in the
01:42 country.
01:43 So that athleticism really shines out.
01:45 And I think that with Bill Biedenboe, with Jerry Schmidt on his side, learning that technique
01:49 of playing offensive line, because again, he's a great athlete.
01:52 If he can learn that technique, I think that he's got a very, very bright future in Norman.
