00:00 How's it going everybody?
00:01 Randall Sweet, allstudents.com, here to talk more about OU's 2024 recruiting class.
00:07 Now I'm going to talk about Isaiah Autry, a talented offensive lineman who's committed
00:12 to Oklahoma in this 2024 class.
00:14 He was actually one of the first commits in this class.
00:16 He's been committed back since before the summer.
00:18 So again, one of the first five guys to make their pledge into this 2024 class.
00:24 He was actually Bill Biedenboe's first offensive lineman in this class.
00:27 And it was easy to see why Bill Biedenboe kind of identified him.
00:31 He is rated a three-star recruit, which obviously Oklahoma fans have seen Bill Biedenboe turn
00:36 three-star recruits into NFL All-Pros, so that's no concern.
00:41 But you know, rated a four-star recruit by some services, listed at 6'7" and 300 pounds.
00:48 With that size, with the length that he's got, if Bill Biedenboe can kind of coach him
00:52 up, get him more using his hands to improve that technique, he's got the potential to
00:57 be a very, very high-level player.
01:00 Again, 6'7", really long arms, that cannot go understated, especially when you're looking
01:05 at offensive tackles.
01:07 Those are things that those guys really, really need, some traits that those guys really need
01:11 to have in the SEC, playing against long-arm defenders who are strong, who have good push.
01:17 You need those long-armed offensive linemen who can give the push right back.
01:21 And again, Autry is also a power lifter, so aside from just being tall and long, he's
01:27 really got the strength.
01:28 He's a guy who really enjoys working out.
01:30 It seems like Jerry Schmidt and him will get along.
01:34 And again, from an offensive lineman, that's what you hope for.
01:38 He chose OU over Alabama, so despite being a three-, low-four-star recruit, he was highly
01:43 sought after.
01:44 Some big-time schools saw the potential.
01:45 He's also the nephew of Marcus Dupree, a former OU running back, and his mom also played basketball
01:50 for Tennessee in the 90s.
