00:00 The National Telecommunications Commission suspended the franchise holder of SMNI

00:05 because of his violations to the franchise.

00:07 Ian Cruz was found guilty.

00:09 The National Telecommunications Commission or NTC

00:15 sentenced the franchise holder of Sunshine Media Network International or SMNI

00:19 to 30 days of suspension in operation

00:22 against Suara Sug Media Corporation.

00:27 In the press release released by the NTC today,

00:30 the suspension of SMNI was said to be on December 19.

00:34 This was due to the Shokos Order issued by the NTC

00:37 which ordered SMNI to explain within 15 days

00:41 why they should not be pardoned by the Administrative Prosecution.

00:45 This order was followed by the resolution issued by the Camera

00:49 which urged the NTC to suspend the operation of SMNI

00:53 because of his violations to the franchise.

00:56 It is worth noting that the Camera admitted that SMNI was not verified.

01:01 They also revealed that there was a 1.8 billion pesos in the travel fund

01:05 which was owned by House Speaker Martin Ruvaldez.

01:08 The Chief Justice, Jeffrey Seles,

01:11 was the host of the program of SMNI that released the information.

01:16 The NTC was also part of the three committee hearings

01:20 held by the Committee on Legislative Franchise of the Camera

01:24 which was the first to be brought back after the release of Resolution 189.

01:28 The NTC also held the Administrative Hearing on January 4, 2024.

01:35 SMNI did not comment on the statement of GMI Integrated News.

01:40 Meanwhile, SMNI was in a meeting with the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board

01:47 about the 14-day preventive suspension imposed on their two programs

01:52 in accordance with some aspects of the programs that could affect the persons
