How important is Jordan James at Birmingham City?

00:06 time. On Jordan James in particular, what do you think he can offer coming into this

00:12 Birmingham side and how important could he be for them to try and find that form under

00:16 Wayne Rooney?

00:17 He's been terrific under Rooney. He was good last season under Eustace at the start of

00:23 this but he wasn't a consistent starter and now he seems to be one of the first names

00:27 on the team sheet. He's only 19 years of age and he's looking like one of the best young

00:31 players in the championship at the moment. He can play in an array of positions. We were

00:34 speaking on Monday night after they lost against Leicester City. He scored both goals in that

00:41 game playing as a number eight, quite advanced up the pitch, arriving in the box late. That

00:46 seemed to work but for Wales he plays as a number six, sitting a bit deeper, detaining

00:50 the play and is a bit of a deep line playmaker.

00:52 Trying to figure out which position is best for him really and it's quite difficult to

00:57 say because he's got attributes for both. I think what you can say for certain is that

01:00 his versatility is going to be very important. He seems to be picking up Rooney's style of

01:04 play a lot quicker than some of the other players around him. Christian Bielek, even

01:08 Sundjic I think are two at a base in midfield who aren't quite getting it just yet. James

01:14 seems to have that awareness and he's a very clever player for someone who's just 19.
