00:00 Charlie, let's have a look at Birmingham City. Obviously, recently announced that Gary Routt
00:05 will be coming into them again, you know, making his return to St Andrews. Obviously,
00:10 it's quite an interesting storyline that, as you know, I remember back when they sacked
00:14 him and it was quite a shock back then, maybe similar to what they did with John Eustace
00:19 as well, where they were doing well and, you know, it just ended up with a sack him, which
00:23 was quite a surprise. But what are thoughts and feelings surrounding his reappointment
00:28 at the club? And, you know, can he get them over the line in this relegation fight?
00:33 I think fans are delighted to see him back, of course, as you say, he left the Zola to
00:37 come in in such a strange fashion eight years ago. He joined 10 years ago. Now he comes
00:42 back a decade later. I think a lot of surprise that he's come back, given the nature he left.
00:47 It wasn't much of his fault in that instance. I know he was talking about potentially getting
00:51 going and slightly different to Eustace in that style, in that sense, sorry. But yeah,
00:56 him coming back, I think was a little bit of a surprise considering the history there.
01:00 But one that's been welcomed. He's a very proven manager at this level, especially of
01:04 Millwall over the last few years. He's used to relegation battles. He knows how to get
01:08 teams fighting and hopefully there'll be some sort of managerial bounce there. There's a
01:12 lot of talk of, will they just hold on to Mark Venus until the rest of the season or
01:16 do they need a face to boost him a little bit more? Rowan is that man that they've decided
01:21 to bring in. And I think it will give them that boost. It's not exactly been comprehensive
01:26 defeats recently. There've been one nils and there's been nil nils and just been an
01:30 inability to score really. If he can shore them up even further, get some clean sheets
01:34 as a basis and then maybe use some slightly different tactics just to try and grind out
01:40 results, it might be pretty. That's what Birmingham needs at the moment. I think Gary Rowett is
01:44 very well suited to that.
01:47 And a player who obviously was there during Gary Rowett's first reign, the club Lucas
01:50 Djukovic, he's just turned 35 years old. Do you feel this could be his final year at
01:56 Birmingham City?
01:59 Potentially. He's got some injury problems this year and recently as well, falling awkwardly
02:04 on his knee and we don't know when he'll be back from that one. And he's not played as
02:07 much football. He's definitely slowing down even more so. He's never been a quick player,
02:11 but I still think he's got something to offer. He's a target man. Blues don't really have
02:16 that otherwise. We saw it against Hull a few weeks back that he scored that vital equal
02:20iser with his head and he's got such a leadership presence as well. So if he doesn't carry on
02:25 as a player, you'd really hope, wouldn't you, that Birmingham can bring him in as a coach
02:29 and continue his career at St Andrews because he's such a great voice in that dressing room.
02:33 It's so important. And fans, of course, seeing him as a legend, Djukovic they call him, what
02:38 a player he is. Let's just hope the injury isn't too bad and he can continue in some
02:42 sense.
