00:00 It's really been awesome for me to be back around Slade and really have an unbelievable relationship.
00:08 He's a great guy. He's super kind, super funny. He's very determined. He's everything that he is.
00:16 And obviously, I'm just so appreciative of him and our conversation that we had in the spring.
00:24 Honestly, he's helped me a lot in the spring, just kind of getting acclimated and just talking through.
00:32 Honestly, he's one of the guys I knew who put me in the building.
00:36 It's important to be in a building. You go someplace new and you're trying to learn people.
00:39 You gravitate towards the ones you know.
00:41 We're out there with our arms open and trying to help you fit in and feel comfortable.
00:47 It's really been very great moving forward.
00:50 I think just as you go through life and you grow and you learn and you get better as a person,
00:57 personally, where I was, whenever that was, just trying to be a better person every day.
01:03 I'm just really thankful for that.
01:05 Then you're rolling in the ceiling and you're playing football and you're talking technique.
01:09 We were out there post-practice one day and he was working on some man-to-man techniques
01:12 and footworks with the young guys. I was sitting there watching and we were just kind of talking about
01:15 techniques and getting back into football, fundamentals of it, which he's super great at.
01:19 That was fun. He was back coaching and teaching and a couple things we were talking about,
01:24 which was really cool.
01:25 Then, in the season, he was obviously new, the first game of the year or so,
01:31 so it was going to be a little bit tough for me.
01:32 He was there and made sure I was okay. That was awesome.
01:36 I think everyone tries to grow as people and sit down and come together and go forward.
01:45 That's what's been really, really awesome.
