Swimmer White picks up 7th gold in 2023 Batang Pinoy

Swimmer Heather White of Parañaque City picked up her seventh gold medal in the final day of competitions in the 2023 Batang Pinoy on Friday, Dec. 22, 2023, matching gymnast Karl Eldrew Yulo's gold haul. White ruled the f16-17 100m butterfly event with a time of 1:03.13 at the Teofilo Yldefonso Swimming Pool inside the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila.

00:08 I mean, I'm super proud of myself for getting a gold medal.
00:10 And I think it's a really nice way to end the year.
00:12 Especially here in the Philippines, it's a nice competition to do with all these young swimmers.

00:31 I'm super proud of myself. I'm super happy with my results.
00:33 I'm super happy to have most of the medals.
00:35 But it took a lot of hard work of course.
00:37 So I'm just really proud for how far I've come.
