00:00 I heard his knee there, Miles Sanders heard his toe, and
00:03 then Troy Hill is in concussion protocol.
00:06 So those three guys didn't finish the game.
00:08 With regards to the game, I tip my hat to the Packers.
00:11 They made one more play than we did, and that's what it was.
00:19 I loved the fight in our guys.
00:22 We ran out of time.
00:23 That's what happened.
00:24 We ran out of time.
00:25 Really pleased with obviously how the offense was playing.
00:29 We talked about that all during the week.
00:31 If you go all the way back to that last drive in the previous game,
00:36 to win it there, and then I thought it carried over today.
00:39 So yeah, we're growing in those things, but at the end of the day,
00:41 we lost the game.
00:43 And that's the bottom line.
00:45 It's a win, loss story in the NFL.
00:48 We didn't get it done, so with that, I'll answer any questions.
00:51 >> Does it matter the way the game was lost, the questionable catch by Dodson,
00:55 which you saw on that, and
00:56 then potentially there being a second at the end after that?
01:00 >> I think those are gonna be great talking points for you.
01:02 There's gonna be a lot of great stories that can be written about that.
01:06 We ran out of time.
01:07 >> What was the explanation on the challenge, Chris?
01:11 >> We were gonna end up taking the time out there anyway.
01:14 Saw that the ball got bobbled.
01:16 There was a lot of conversation from New York.
01:18 They went with the ruling on the field.
01:20 So we were gonna burn the time out there anyway, so
01:24 you might as well try to get the ball back.
01:26 >> Is that the play in which Troy got concussed?
01:28 Cuz I think he was- >> I don't remember that.
01:30 >> He was still in that play.
01:32 >> I can't remember, to be honest with you.
01:34 >> Chris, did you think you had one second left at the end?
01:37 >> Absolutely.
01:38 >> Did you get any explanation from that?
01:42 >> No.
01:43 >> Is that why you seem so upset?
01:46 >> I'm disappointed.
01:47 I'm disappointed.
01:49 I'm disappointed for those guys in that room.
01:51 They laid everything out on the line right there.
01:54 And we played, we ran out of time.
01:56 And we're getting better.
01:59 There's no doubt about that.
02:00 I think that's evident of how we're playing.
02:04 I just, as I said earlier, I don't like to lose.
02:07 Nobody likes to lose.
02:07 When you keep in score, I mean, you don't like to lose and we lost.
02:10 So it hurts at this moment.
02:12 And it hurts because you care.
02:14 And you care about the guys that you're in battle with and all those things.
02:17 I love them to death.
02:18 It just hurts.
02:20 >> Bruce, did you get any explanation about why they didn't review the last
02:23 fight at all?
02:24 Have you had anyone take a look at it?
02:26 >> I think, I'm sure it probably went to New York.
02:28 They probably got some confirmation from there.
02:30 I'm probably not the first guy that they wanted to talk to at the end of the game.
02:33 >> I know it goes without saying, but can you talk about Bryson,
02:36 your receivers on that, just even on that last drive where you guys ran out of time?
02:40 >> Thought they played well.
02:41 That was evident.
02:42 I thought our quarterback played well the whole game.
02:44 I thought our receivers played well the whole game.
02:46 They made tough, contested catches.
02:48 You're watching a group grow.
02:50 And as I said, as I stood up here last week,
02:53 those guys made plays you saw carry over today.
02:56 And what we talked about was, is since you did that, that was the standard.
03:00 So now that's what you're chasing.
03:02 And I thought today they took the standard, they met it, and
03:06 then they moved it up some more.
03:08 So that's good for us because, I mean, you're either getting better or
03:11 you're getting worse.
03:12 And I know that's all coach speak, but that's real.
03:14 And I saw a bunch of guys get better today.
03:17 >> Part of that growth with Bryce, y'all used him for a quarterback sneak.
03:20 You had him in use that way all year.
03:21 What was the thought process there?
03:24 >> It was fourth and short, get the first down we got.
03:26 >> What specifically did you see out of Bryce today, Chris?
03:30 >> He was in complete control.
03:33 He was in complete control.
03:34 He knew exactly how the game was being played.
03:37 We were playing the game how we wanted to play it.
03:40 And to be honest with you,
03:41 I thought today that we would have opportunities to score points, and we did.
03:44 Saw a team instead of kicking field goals, we're scoring touchdowns.
03:47 That's a credit to our offense, our offensive staff.
03:50 Thought they did a great job there.
03:52 But our quarterback is playing with confidence.
03:56 He's a good player.
03:56 I've always said he's a good player.
03:58 Saw it today.
03:58 >> Chris, the talent characteristic wasn't to see them run the ball the way they
04:03 had, because you guys hadn't given up that kind of yards in a while.
04:07 >> Give them credit.
04:08 They did a nice job.
04:09 I still like our defense.
04:11 I do.
04:11 And I know that we'll bounce back, and that doesn't concern me one bit.
04:17 >> Back on Bryce, you mentioned he was in complete control.
04:20 Also some off-platform plays.
04:22 I wondered what you saw on the roll out in the throw to DJ.
04:26 >> Yeah, you saw him make some plays with his legs.
04:28 And he can do that.
04:30 And I think that right there, to be honest,
04:34 you're seeing the guy play with some confidence and understanding.
04:38 He's smart.
04:39 He's understanding how the game's being played and what needs to be done, and
04:42 he's doing those things.
04:44 You're seeing a rookie player grow, and I'm really happy for him.
04:47 >> First off, did you see Smithmore's set's impact on the offense the last
04:51 few weeks, talk about the impact there?
04:53 >> Yeah, no, he's making plays in the jet sweep, stuff like that.
04:57 He's a really good football player.
04:58 He's a kid that, he just likes football.
05:02 And when you're around him and talking to him, I think you'll probably feel that.
05:05 And he's hurt right now, obviously, like we all are.
05:09 But really proud of where he started and where he's going.
05:13 And I think that's the deal, right?
05:16 I know we haven't won as many games as we wanted to, but
05:20 you're seeing a player improve, and I think that's important.
05:24 >> I thought about, Chris,
05:25 what's the source of the Bryson-DJ-Chart connection today?
05:30 >> I thought they pitched and catched really well.
05:35 On the same page, Bryce is extremely accurate.
05:39 Shark's a big guy that went up and made contested catches.
05:43 Really proud of him.
05:44 I just think that he took last week's game and said, you know what?
05:48 I'm just gonna keep getting better, and that's what he did.
05:50 So really happy for him.
05:51 >> Thank you, coach.
