00:11 Besides its abandoned hydropower resources, Yunnan is also actively developing other forms
00:16 of renewable energy, such as solar and wind power, to reduce reliance on fossil fuels
00:22 and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
00:24 On December 23, a major wind power project was connected to power grid at full capacity
00:30 in Qiubei County.
00:32 The project has 172 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 860,000 kilowatts.
00:39 It is expected to generate 2 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, reducing carbon
00:45 dioxide emissions by about 1.66 million tons each year.
00:50 In 2022, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture added 1.93 million kilowatts of photovoltaic installed
00:57 capacity.
00:58 By mid-December this year, the total electricity power installed capacity in the prefecture
01:03 reached 17.92 million kilowatts.
