00:00 Okay, so how do you feel about getting the good judgement then?
00:05 I'm delighted. I'm delighted for the whole community of St Joseph's, the staff who are
00:10 incredibly hard working, the children who are a credit to their families, and the families
00:16 who are so supportive of school. I think Ofsted inspectors have recognised and acknowledged
00:21 the many strengths that we have, so I'm really pleased.
00:24 Were there any aspects of the report which pleased you most?
00:27 I would say I think the fact that we have high expectations for all of our children,
00:34 that the curriculum is ambitious, we want our children to do the best that they can.
00:39 Another aspect that really pleased me is the fact that they recognised our school ethos
00:45 as a Catholic school, and they recognised that gospel values underpin all that we do.
00:52 So out of that came the acknowledgement of the children's manners and their respect towards
00:56 their peers, and also to adults in school. So they did acknowledge that we're a very
01:02 warm, caring family environment.
01:05 What was the reaction of the staff when you told them about the good judgement?
01:08 Staff were really pleased. We did have some tears as well, but tears, you know, happy
01:14 tears. I think it was a real affirmation about their dedication and their commitment, because
01:21 they're incredibly hard-working, so I'm really proud to lead such a wonderful team.
01:27 Okay then Heidi, how does it feel to know you've come to a good school then?
01:32 It's nice to know that they're in the Ofsted report, that they were good, because I think
01:38 it is a really good school. I was quite happy to know that they were a good school.
01:44 What's the best thing for you about coming to this school?
01:48 I like how there's lots of after-school clubs and things for us to do, so there's a lot
01:57 of choice. So lots of things.
02:02 Okay then Ian, what's the best thing about coming to school for you?
02:04 Probably all the staff around you, trying to keep you safe and to make you do your best
02:09 in everything.
02:10 And do you enjoy the lessons?
02:12 Yes.
02:13 What's your favourite lesson?
02:14 Maths and RE.
02:15 So is the good judgement really deserved?
02:18 Yes.
02:19 - Yep. - Yep.
02:20 Thank you.
