Ecuador’s ‘Most Wanted’ Criminal Has Disappeared From Prison

Ecuadorian President, Daniel Noboa, on Monday announced a state of emergency to establish control in all of the country's prisons, one day after a high-profile gang leader escaped.

Adolfo Macías, known as Fito, escaped on Sunday from a prison in Guayaquil.

00:05 hitmen and organized crime were dictating to the government what to do.
00:09 What we are seeing in the prisons of the country is the result of the decision to face them.
00:14 That is why, from the government, we have undertaken actions that allow us to regain
