00:08 >> All right, Avery Anderson, Emmanuel Miller.
00:12 Did you want to know something?
00:14 >> [LAUGH] >> Take questions for these guys.
00:18 >> Hey man, the last few days, what's just kind of been the move from Saturday
00:22 to kind of turn the page from the way Saturday ended to kind of just focus on
00:25 what you guys did tonight?
00:26 >> Just competing in practice, after the game in Kansas,
00:31 we knew we could play with the best of them.
00:33 Kansas ranked number two, but we feel like we could be ranked number one,
00:36 cuz we can compete with anyone in this country.
00:38 Other than that, just having fun and competing.
00:43 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:46 >> Emmanuel, 27 to 9 for you tonight, you also crossed a major milestone,
00:49 1,000 points for your career.
00:51 What does that mean for you to reach that mark?
00:54 >> I'm just blessed, I'm blessed to have such a great support in Cass.
00:59 I'm blessed to be present in this moment.
01:02 I'm just blessed that the whole TC community cheered me on as I scored my
01:06 1,000 point here.
01:08 And ever since I came here, my heart turned purple.
01:11 And I'm just beyond thankful to be here.
01:13 >> Avery, what was the difference for you between the first half and
01:17 the second half?
01:19 >> I would just say just finding my rhythm throughout the game,
01:21 just sticking with it, not trying to change nothing up.
01:24 If the right close to my teammates, if my teammates have the right close,
01:28 shoot the ball, just shoot the ball.
01:29 So just staying in the game throughout.
01:32 >> And Fox, that's 131.
01:33 >> Yeah, zero to go.
01:35 >> [INAUDIBLE]
01:37 >> Jermaine, you had a big stretch in
01:39 the first half, trying to help the team get the lead.
01:41 How do you just kind of adjust to this new role coming off the bench in the last
01:44 couple games?
01:44 >> Adjusting hasn't been that hard, just because I'm really playing the same
01:49 way, so there's really nothing much to adjust to.
01:53 But just coming off trying to be a Spartan, I can't do nothing else.
01:56 So that's all I can do.
01:59 >> You guys were plus eight in the rebounding department in the second half,
02:04 got out rebounding in the first half.
02:05 What changed for you guys in that area?
02:08 >> No, just finding our man, boxing out, first and foremost, just getting a body.
02:13 You know, Oklahoma's a great offense and defense team.
02:16 And they crash their guys really well.
02:18 So their big man getting in foul trouble early, we attacking him,
02:23 getting him in foul trouble, I think that helped us.
02:26 Other than that, just crashing the glass every time.
02:29 They send marks on it, and we execute it.
02:31 >> [INAUDIBLE]
02:36 >> Jermaine, I guess these first two
02:37 games, two top ten opponents, what's been your first impression of the Big 12 so far?
02:40 >> Man, welcome to the Big 12.
02:43 That was crazy.
02:44 I mean, it's good.
02:45 I think that was my first ranked win, which is crazy.
02:48 >> Yeah, for real.
02:49 But I'm just grateful to be here.
02:53 I'm grateful to be on such a great team with great teammates.
02:55 And I feel like it's only up from here, for real.
02:59 >> There's no rest either for you guys.
03:01 You've got Houston coming to town this weekend.
03:04 What have you seen from them on film so far this year?
03:06 >> From being honest, we haven't seen much other than the games we watched at home.
03:11 But we know Houston's a great team, just like every other team in the Big 12.
03:15 We know Houston's gonna come in here and try to secure a win, but
03:19 we can't let that happen.
03:21 We're building momentum, we're hitting great strides, and
03:24 we just need to build off of it.
03:25 >> This might be off topic from the game tonight, but
03:28 doing a profile on Jacobi Coles.
03:30 >> Yeah. >> You've been with him,
03:32 Emmanuel, the last couple seasons.
03:33 Can you just talk about your first impressions of him and
03:36 what he's meant to this team?
03:38 >> He's a great hooper, and I think we all know that, but he's more than a hooper.
03:43 I think his character speaks volume.
03:45 I think he's an unbelievable human being.
03:48 I think he puts others before himself.
03:50 I know he wants to be out there right now, but since he's not out there,
03:54 he's supporting us.
03:55 And him supporting us, it means the world.
03:57 We know what he can do on the court, but
03:59 I think what he does off the court doesn't get talked about enough.
04:02 Jacobi is just a great individual, and I'm just beyond thankful he's on this team.
04:06 >> Emmanuel, this is your fourth game in the last six, going on to 25.
04:10 What's just been working for you the last couple games?
04:12 >> My teammates find it.
04:14 I say it over and over, we're so versatile offensively.
04:18 Avery and Jermair both do a great job of distributing the ball,
04:22 finding players in the spots they like.
04:25 And that's what they did tonight.
04:27 Avery hit me in stride, Jermair hit me in stride, and they're hitting big shots,
04:31 which is letting me be open.
04:32 They're making the right reads off the pick and roll, and
04:35 they're just dissecting the defense.
04:37 >> Can you talk about the impact Chuck had when he was in the game?
04:41 >> I don't have to talk about it.
04:44 >> [LAUGH] >> But yeah, I mean, Chuck is just,
04:47 he just sparks for real, when he come off the bench.
04:50 He can just shoot the ball, he can play defense, so
04:53 he can just do a lot of things that this team needs.
04:55 And so we can keep being confident in just being him.
04:58 >> Jermair, you pulled down seven rebounds tonight.
05:02 Is that something you take pride in, being a guard that goes and
05:04 crashes the boards a little bit?
05:06 >> Absolutely.
05:09 Every time we don't win on rebounds, we hear it in the locker room.
05:13 So it's just by responding.
05:16 I didn't realize I had seven, but it was just the point of just getting in there and
05:21 using my body and stuff like that.
05:22 So it's great to see that number, for sure.
05:24 >> Any last questions?
05:28 Okay. >> Thank you, guys.
05:30 >> Thanks.
