00:03 Alright, we are in Chillicothe, the home of sliced bread.
00:12 Yes, the home of sliced bread.
00:15 You know, when you're out here in the sticks, you see the farmland,
00:20 and you're wondering, "Where can I find a good hot dog?"
00:24 Well, when you're in the sticks, you've got to look for the Hicks.
00:28 And we are at Hicks Hometown Drive-In here in Chillicothe, Missouri.
00:34 Right in the middle of the heartland, right in the middle of Missouri.
00:37 And they have chili dogs in Chillicothe. Chili dogs, Chillicothe.
00:41 Let's see if the chili dogs in Chillicothe live up to the standards of their tank as a raw, dogging Missouri.

01:28 Alright, here we are in Chillicothe, Missouri, northern Missouri.
01:35 You know, in 1928, a local bakery began selling pre-sliced bread.
01:42 Chillicothe Bread Company was born.
01:45 And within a few years, the bread got picked up by major bakeries around the nation.
01:51 And America had sliced bread.
01:54 So when they say the greatest invention is sliced bread, sliced bread was invented here in Chillicothe, Missouri.
02:01 Also known as Chili. The town is nicknamed Chili.
02:06 Ray and Faye Copeland are from here. The less known about them, the better.
02:11 But we're here to talk about the hot dogs.
02:15 And they've got a foot-long hot dog.
02:18 And I like the coloring on the hot dog. The coloring on the hot dog is good.
02:22 The bun feels good. Of course, if you have the invention of sliced bread here, you should have a good bakery.
02:27 I mean, usually foot-long hot dog buns are way too big.
02:31 But this one fits the dog perfectly.
02:50 It's got a good taste to it.
02:53 It doesn't quite have a great snap, but it has a decent snap.
02:56 And a good, like, smoky flavor to the hot dog.
03:02 I'm going to give this a triple.
03:05 But when you're in Chillicothe, a town that's nicknamed Chili,
03:13 you gotta hope that the Chili dog lives up to expectations.
03:18 I like how the cheese has a little bit of a crust to it.
03:22 Again, the good bun-dog ratio. Let's see.
03:26 Not too sloppy. The Chili is well-maintained.
03:40 Well put together. I'm going to give this a triple.
03:46 Now let's see the fries.
03:49 The fries are a little ordinary. I'm going to give them a 7.1.
04:04 Alright! Another successful hot dog review here in Chillicothe.
04:12 The home of sliced bread.
04:14 If you ever come here, just hope your Copelands aren't around.
04:18 But you find some good hot dogs here.
04:21 I like these footlongs. These footlongs are better than most footlongs.
04:24 They had a good taste. They maintained the taste.
04:27 Sometimes footlongs are hard to cook.
04:29 They put them in bread that's too big.
04:31 But the bread was perfect.
04:33 The Chili was good and had a good...
04:35 I like how the cheese crusted over a little bit.
04:37 So, I like this place. A nice find in northern Missouri.
04:41 But if you know any other places I can go, leave a comment down below.

04:56 Take me out for some hot dogs.
05:00 Get me one that's only plain.
05:03 No mustard or horseradish ketchup.
05:06 I'll know what the dog is really about.
05:10 And it's hoped that this is a good one.
05:14 Maybe a home run or a double.
05:17 But if it sucks, it will be a strikeout.
05:20 I'm not worried about my taste buds.
05:23 [laughs]
05:25 Alright, here we are in Chili Coffee.
05:28 Missouri. We're in northern Missouri.
