00:00 "I don't want to do it anymore."
00:02 "Do you know we're gonna find each other? We always do, right?"
00:06 Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the shows that will release their final episodes in 2024.
00:14 Release schedules can change, but we'll have to say goodbye to these shows sooner than later. A few spoilers may follow.
00:22 "In a few words, bittersweet, precise, exciting."
00:28 Number 10. Curb Your Enthusiasm
00:30 "Watch this!"
00:32 "That's cold coffee!"
00:34 "That doesn't prove anything except that you're an old, bald nut!"
00:38 Throughout the past 24 years, Curb Your Enthusiasm has come and gone from the airways.
00:43 Some assumed that it would conclude with the season 5 finale, fittingly titled The End.
00:49 "You really never should have let me do that Seinfeld TV guide cover."
00:53 For a period, it appeared Larry David's confrontation with Michael J. Fox would be the show's swan song.
00:59 Larry considered killing himself off in the season 11 finale, but ultimately decided to return for a 12th.
01:05 Unlike the previous season, though, David has gone on the record saying that this will be his last.
01:11 After the Seinfeld finale divided audiences, David once said, "I no longer feel I need to wrap things up."
01:18 This begs the question, will David leave the Curb finale open-ended, or will he conclusively bid farewell to his TV counterpart?
01:26 "Because I notice I've been here a while, and frankly, I don't have to do anything."
01:30 "And if that's the case, that's gonna be pretty good! Pretty good!"
01:36 Number 9. Blue Bloods
01:38 In the same vein as Law & Order or CSI, Blue Bloods is one of those small screen staples that we expected to be around forever.
01:47 "Oh no, I finally found my happy place."
01:50 "Yeah, you did."
01:51 "And I think you should too."
01:53 "I have."
01:54 Hitting the scene in 2010, the police procedural produced almost 300 episodes with the 14th season approaching.
02:01 This will also be the last season with the first half commencing in February and the remaining eight episodes being reserved for the fall.
02:09 "At the table you said a lot of men would be glad if I stayed on. Are you one of them?"
02:14 "I can handle it. I voted yes."
02:18 Ironically, this Tom Selleck-led crime drama will be ending the same year as the Magnum P.I. reboot.
02:24 From Thomas Magnum to Frank Reagan, Selleck has been a prominent TV presence for more than 40 years.
02:31 Friday night won't feel the same without him, but at least he'll have the chance to close this case on a satisfying note.
02:39 "Look, I'm just as surprised and dismayed as my cops. And that's all, folks."
02:51 Number 8. Yellowstone
02:53 In an era dominated by streaming, Yellowstone has proven to be a certified blockbuster for cable.
02:59 Despite record ratings, the second half of the western drama's fifth season will see John Dutton ride into the sunset.
03:07 "You know there's being scared to die, sonny. Knowing it's coming."
03:12 Scheduling conflicts, creative differences, and salary negotiations with Kevin Costner have been cited as reasons for the show's premature end.
03:20 Although only six episodes of Yellowstone remain, the franchise is far from over.
03:25 Not only is the prequel 1923 returning for a second season, but three more spin-offs are in the works.
03:31 6666, 1944, and 2024.
03:36 The latter of which is being developed with Matthew McConaughey in mind.
03:40 "Alright, alright, alright. Oh, Christ. How you doing?"
03:45 We just hope that this isn't the last we've seen of Beth Dutton. We need to keep her burns burning.
03:51 "Let's be honest, Dad, you didn't come here to fish. You're hunting. That's why you're sitting in a bar instead of standing in a river."
03:59 Number 7. Superman and Lois
04:01 "Cool costume." "Thanks. My mom made it for me."
04:06 Ten years ago, The CW pretty much could have renamed itself The Superhero Network.
04:11 It was an impressive run, but much like Krypton, it was bound to end eventually.
04:16 After closing the book on The Arrowverse in 2023, the network's only remaining DC series will take its final flight in 2024.
04:27 "It's time. Come home."
04:31 The writing had been on the wall for Superman and Lois ever since James Gunn and Peter Safran's overhaul of DC Studios was announced.
04:40 In addition to a shortened season consisting of ten episodes, the showrunners will have a smaller budget to work with.
04:47 Although that means less action, more time can be dedicated to the family drama.
04:52 "No one ever dreams about the problems that every life has, even the extraordinary ones."
04:59 While a character-driven farewell is welcome, we're still anticipating an epic resolution to Superman and Doomsday's moon brawl.
05:08 Number 6. Andor
05:10 "How long we hang on, how far we get, how many of us make it out, all of that is now up to us."
05:19 Just when you thought The Mandalorian was the best Star Wars show of the Disney+ era, Andor solidified itself as one of the franchise's finest stories ever.
05:29 It's something of a surprise that such a revered show would lower the curtain after only two seasons.
05:36 If there were ever a Star Wars show that deserved to gracefully go out on top, though, it's Tony Gilroy's mature approach to a galaxy far, far away.
05:45 "I've been turning away from a truth I wanted not to face. There is a wound that won't heal at the center of the galaxy."
05:54 The remaining 12 installments will bring Cassian Andor closer to his inevitable fate in Rogue One.
06:00 Yet there are still many unanswered questions, opening the door for a thrilling and emotionally complex send-off.
06:07 It should be a good batch of episodes. And on that note, the Bad Batch is also signing off.
06:13 "What did you do to Crosshair?"
06:15 "He's recovering. I tried to warn him what would happen if he did not cooperate with the Doctor."
06:21 Number 5. You
06:23 It's bizarre to think that this psychological thriller almost didn't make it past one season.
06:28 After Lifetime pulled out of its second season commitment, Netflix turned the struggling series into a streaming sensation.
06:35 "I know that I am better with you than without you."
06:41 "Bet."
06:43 You has consistently kept viewers on their toes with its changing settings, supporting characters, and personas for our protagonist.
06:50 Whether you want to call him Joe, Will, or Jonathan, he's run out of places to hide and identities to adopt.
06:58 "What do you want from me?" "I'm sorry. I'm trying to change my past mistakes."
07:02 "You really don't get it." "Then tell me." "I am trying to."
07:05 With the final season returning to New York, it'll likely bring Joe's twisted search for love full circle as he confronts the sins of the past.
07:13 Although Sarah Gamble won't be returning as showrunner, we suspect the finale will honor her past comments about Joe's fate, which should entail some form of justice.
07:23 "Now he's embracing really his lower nature. He's letting the animal take over the human, basically."
07:32 Number 4. The Umbrella Academy
07:35 Under the ever-expanding umbrella of superhero content, this show has stood out as one of the most unique examples with its dysfunctional characters, offbeat comedy, and needle drops.
07:46 "Are you happy? Are you satisfied? How long can you stand the heat?"
07:50 The swan song season, which will only contain six episodes, picks up in yet another alternate universe that our heroes created.
07:58 When we last saw the Sparrows, they were left without their powers.
08:02 "Okay, come on, Alakazam. Ghosties. This means I'm mortal again? Oh, man."
08:12 Given everything they've been through, though, that might seem like a blessing.
08:16 Of course, the season's first episode is titled "The Unbearable Tragedy of Getting What You Want," suggesting that their newfound normalcy will be short-lived.
08:25 "Come on, we should stick together and figure this out." "Well, what are we supposed to do?"
08:30 "Live our lives?"
08:31 With a new threat looming over this reset reality, it'll only be a matter of time until the Sparrows reunite for a final face-off, and hopefully, a final dance-off.
08:42 Number 3. The Handmaid's Tale
08:45 Several years after hitting the scene, this dystopian tragedy hasn't lost its relevance.
08:50 Although June Osborn escaped from Gilead a couple of seasons ago, she still has some unfinished business.
08:56 "You wanna help her? You leave her the hell behind and you come with me. You wanna fight them? You fight them from Canada. We will help you."
09:06 The season 5 finale saw June take the first step in one last life-threatening mission.
09:12 June won't be returning to Gilead alone, but will Serena ultimately step up as an ally, or is she beyond trusting at this point?
09:19 Even if June finds what she's looking for, will she ever be able to leave Gilead in the past?
09:25 "This country is changing."
09:28 "No, Canada is not Gilead."
09:31 "America wasn't Gilead until it was."
09:37 This show has repeatedly broken us down only to build us back up.
09:41 While we expect the final season to leave us emotionally shattered yet again, there may be hope interspersed with the tears.
09:48 "Am I ever gonna see you again?"
09:51 "You know what? I'm gonna try."
09:59 Number 2. Cobra Kai
10:01 There are a dozen reasons why Cobra Kai shouldn't have worked.
10:05 Going back to the franchise's underdog roots though, the show pulled off a difficult balancing act,
10:10 reframing Johnny Lawrence as a sympathetic protagonist while presenting a more nuanced portrayal of Daniel LaRusso.
10:17 "I still live with the fear, Sam. We all do on some level. I just try to not let it ever win."
10:24 It appears that the two have at last found common ground, setting the stage for a final round with John Kreese.
10:31 While little is currently known about season 6, fans have always been curious if Hilary Swank would return as Julie Pierce.
10:38 "Go ahead. Do what my grandmother does. Tell me I made another mistake."
10:43 "Julie, you're so thoughtless. Julie, you lost your temper again."
10:47 Sure, the next Karate Kid isn't the franchise's most beloved hour, but Cobra Kai has found redemption in unexpected places before.
10:56 Whether or not Julie joins Daniel and Johnny, we'll be waxing on for sure.
11:01 "Show me wax on, wax off. Hey! Hey! Hey!"
11:06 Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.
11:10 Star Trek Discovery - boldly going to the final frontier.
11:14 "This doesn't have to end badly for you."
11:16 "It won't."
11:19 Big Mouth - Netflix's foul-mouthed animated comedy is graduating.
11:32 "He's gonna steal my little man!"
11:34 "Maybe. I guess we'll just have to wait to find out what happens next season."
11:37 "Wait, what? This is the end of the season?"
11:40 "Yeah."
11:41 "No, no, no, no! Don't go to credits! I wanna know what's gonna happen!"
11:45 Grown-ish - a final semester with the Johnson family.
11:49 Vikings Valhalla - see you in Valhalla!
12:03 "All of you! A hero's welcome awaits you in Constantinople. And reward for your bravery.
12:10 And you, Harald Sigurdsson, I am in your debt."

12:31 Number 1 - Young Sheldon
12:33 Hey, you can only be a boy genius for so long!
12:37 "I wish I could give you advice about middle school, but I was so smart I skipped it.
12:42 If you make it to high school, we'll talk."
12:44 While still one of the network's most popular sitcoms, we respect CBS for not turning Young Sheldon into another two-and-a-half men,
12:52 which really should have been called Three Men by its seventh season.
12:56 Although we initially tuned into this Big Bang prequel for Sheldon Cooper, we became even more attached to his family.
13:03 "Please forgive us our mistakes and our sins."
13:06 The final season has several loose ends to tie up concerning Missy's rebellion, Georgie's role as a father,
13:13 the deconstruction of Meemaw's house, and the marriage troubles between Mary and George.
13:18 If we know Sheldon, though, he won't allow his show to end without closure.
13:22 "No, they can't just cancel a show like Alphas, you know, they have to help the viewers let go."
13:27 After 17 years, it'll be the final link to Jim Parsons' career-defining role.
13:32 Which show will you miss the most next year? Let us know in the comments.
13:36 "Do you understand what this is? This iconic television here!"
