00:00New day, new ideas, a new you.
00:08Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the best TV series finales
00:14of the last 10 years from 2014 to 2024.
00:19Naturally, spoilers will be aplenty, so consider this your warning.
00:23Where do I see it ending?
00:27With me on top, like always.
00:31Number 10.
00:32Parks and Recreation.
00:33Who knows when we'll all be together like this again?
00:37Widely considered one of the greatest sitcoms of modern television, with one of the greatest
00:42casts ever assembled, Parks and Rec ended on a perfectly sweet and hopeful note for
00:47Pawnee's most dedicated public servants.
00:50As you all know, Tom's Bistro has been presented with a huge expansion opportunity.
00:54I don't want to make a decision until I hear from my senior advisory board, so is
00:58this a good idea?
00:59Through a flash forward, we are given a glimpse into each character's future.
01:03The final episode gave viewers closure for all the characters they've grown to love
01:07over seven seasons.
01:09It saw Andy and April start their family, while Ben and Leslie took on a seemingly presidential
01:15life.
01:16They spelled his name wrong on the tombstone.
01:19Close enough.
01:23It's time to go.
01:26Heck, even Ron's dreams came true, and we for one couldn't be happier for him.
01:31Never let me start feeling lonely.
01:36Number 9.
01:37Hannibal.
01:41Don't run.
01:43I'll catch you.
01:46It's safe to say that Hannibal's finale lived up to the show's reputation for unsettling
01:51psychological horror.
01:53The series, which has often been lauded for its atmospheric delights, culminated in an
01:58intense and pulse-pounding face-off between Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter.
02:04See?
02:07This is all I ever wanted for you, Will.
02:14For both of us.
02:16Their complex relationship ends ambiguously, mind you.
02:20We knew going in that Lecter would go out the monster we know him to be, but did Graham
02:24become a hero or villain?
02:26We can't say for sure, but we do know that this finale was as visually stunning and emotionally
02:32unsettling as we'd hoped it would be.
02:41Number 8.
02:42Mr. Robot.
02:43I'm alive.
02:45Which means you are too.
02:48Right?
02:49Where are we?
02:51Were all the intricate mysteries and complex narrative threads neatly unraveled in Mr.
02:56Robot's two-part finale?
02:58For the most part.
02:59The show, which took viewers on a mind-bending journey for four seasons, finally let us in
03:05on Elliot Anderson's true reality.
03:07Or is it realities?
03:09You see, things conclude with our mastermind joining the other manifestations of his shattered
03:14psyche.
03:15The story circuits all linked back to Elliot's quest for personal peace amidst global chaos.
03:21Even though we'll be gone, it's like Mr. Robot said, we'll always be a part of Elliot
03:28Anderson.
03:29And while also delivering powerful emotional messages along the way, Mr. Robot lobbed off,
03:35leaving viewers not only intellectually fulfilled, but deeply moved.
03:40Number 7.
03:41Fleabag.
03:42It's going to be a lovely day, isn't it?
03:44I'm afraid so.
03:45The fact that this Phoebe Waller-Bridge starring British comedy drama only had just two seasons
03:51doesn't make its ending any less beautifully bittersweet.
03:55In it, our dry-witted heroine and the hot priest don't exactly run off together.
04:00I love you.
04:15Though she doesn't get what she wants in a romantic sense, the character clearly undergoes
04:20undeniable growth and acceptance.
04:23By breaking the fourth wall one last time and walking away from the camera, Fleabag's
04:28finale also signified the end of our relationship with her too.
04:44All adds up to an impactful meta-moment that sealed the show's status as a true modern
04:49work of art.
04:51Number 6.
04:52Schitt's Creek.
04:54Talk about ending things on top.
04:56A lot of people didn't discover Schitt's Creek until later in its run, thanks greatly
05:01to its addition on Netflix.
05:03And, given the show's newfound popularity, not to mention colossal awards wins, Dan Levy
05:09and co. could have easily kept the series going.
05:12Instead, they opted to finish things with dignity, grace, and, of course, plenty of
05:17humor.
05:18What is that?
05:19Thank you, David.
05:20You look very expensive and gorgeous too.
05:23It's white.
05:24You're wearing a white dress.
05:25Duh.
05:26It's black and white themed.
05:27What was I supposed to show up in, pink?
05:29Heck, the episode actually sees David get two happy endings, if you catch our drift.
05:35I've always heard about things like that, but I've never actually gotten one.
05:38Did you have to pay extra for that?
05:41I didn't pay for a happy ending.
05:42I paid for a massage.
05:43He gave you a happy ending?
05:45On our wedding day?
05:46The rest of the gang learn that happiness doesn't come from wealth, but rather friends
05:51and family.
05:52And with each arc wrapped up in a poignant bow, Schitt's Creek delivered one of the
05:56best sitcom finales ever.
05:59What is it?
06:03Just wanted one last look.
06:05Number five, The Leftovers.
06:08So you're saying you've never been here before?
06:10This is your first time in Australia?
06:12Well...
06:14You're really gonna keep this up?
06:16This profound, supernatural HBO series concluded its exploration of grief and faith in enigmatic
06:23fashion, keeping the unpredictable spirit of the show till the very last scene.
06:29I didn't change my mind.
06:33I went through.
06:35The Leftovers centered on the unexplained disappearance of 2% of the population and
06:40the aftermath of the baffling event.
06:43And so, the finale builds to an enthralling monologue from Carrie Coon's Nora, where
06:48she details what could have happened to the departed.
06:51Over here, we lost some of them.
06:56But over there, they lost all of us.
07:00However, it trades concrete answers of the show's many mysteries for an emotional resolution
07:06for the characters, especially Kevin and Nora.
07:09And in doing so, it delivered a truly unforgettable and touching farewell.
07:15I'm here.
07:21Number four, Better Call Saul.
07:24As a spinoff prequel to the critically beloved series Breaking Bad, expectations for Better
07:30Call Saul were sky high.
07:32And while it took audiences some time to truly warm to the show's charms, it eventually
07:37took off as an exceptional drama in its own right.
07:41And a whole lot of other people would still be alive.
07:47Fact is, Walter White couldn't have done it without me.
07:51And just like its predecessor, Better Call Saul delivered a satisfying conclusion that
07:58in part, Saul's story ultimately end with him in prison.
08:02Impressively, the writers were able to skillfully navigate the converging timelines of the two
08:08shows, while also preserving the integrity of the standalone narrative.
08:12In short, Better Call Saul had no issue carving its own place in the history of great TV finales.
08:20With good behavior, who knows?
08:27Number three, Mad Men.
08:29An impeccable period drama through and through, Mad Men concluded with some thought-provoking
08:35commentary on the nature of advertising and the human condition.
08:40I have a person-to-person call for Peggy Olsen from Donald Draper.
08:43This is Peggy Olsen, I accept.
08:46Where the hell are you?
08:48Throughout the episode, series lead Don Draper seemingly finds some semblance of inner peace.
08:55However, during a meditation session, Don sparks an idea and grasps what he truly is,
09:01an ad man.
09:03Cue the iconic Coca-Cola commercial that perfectly encapsulated the upcoming 1970s.
09:09I'd like to buy the world a home and furnish it with love.
09:16Grow apple trees and honey bees and snow white turtle doves.
09:23Of course, audiences are left to ponder whether Don truly changed or if this genius epiphany
09:30shows that he's nothing more than the world's greatest salesman.
09:33Either way, there's no denying the folks at AMC sold us one heck of an outstanding series finale.
09:40I'm gonna split.
09:42Well, I'm going to sit here and look at these four walls.
09:45Number two, The Americans.
09:47What's going on?
09:49The FBI knows about us.
09:50We have to leave for good.
09:51They almost caught me.
09:53I don't go where?
09:55Home.
09:56This finale to FX's acclaimed spy drama is, in a word, intense.
10:01The Americans concluded its six season run on quite the thrilling note.
10:06And I don't even know what happens if we make it home.
10:08Because after all these years of being scared of Americans and recruiting Americans and following Americans,
10:15we finally, we actually got something and that has nothing to do with you.
10:19With their cover blown, Philip and Elizabeth are forced to grapple with the repercussions of the events of the series thus far,
10:26especially in regard to their child, Paige.
10:29With the Jennings family facing the consequences of their actions and a return to Russia,
10:35everyone is compelled to be true to themselves.
10:38They'll remember us.
10:46They're not kids anymore.
10:48The episode provides a weighty reflection on the cost of espionage on a human level,
10:53making it stand as a brilliant end to this Cold War story.

11:13Number one, Succession.
11:16In a world where power plays and family discord reign supreme,
11:20HBO's Succession concluded with all the requisite chaos and moral decay, and then some.
11:27Let go of him.
11:28What the fuck did you say?
11:29What are you doing?
11:30Stop!
11:31The gripping finale wrapped up all its major storylines,
11:34including just who would end up succeeding the late Logan Roy.
11:38I can do this.
11:40I don't think you'd be good at it.
11:42What? I don't, I don't even believe you. I don't believe you.
11:45I don't. I don't think that you would be good at this.
11:48In the end, Shiv is stuck in an unhappy relationship,
11:52Roman is left broken,
11:54and Kendall has lost, well, everything.
11:57At least Tom is left sitting pretty.
12:04The final episode left no stone unturned,
12:07and once more underscored themes around loyalty, legacy,
12:11and the media's influence on societal structures.
12:14And what can we say?
12:15It all adds up to a contemporary television masterpiece.
12:20Re, uh, re, re...
12:22Ken, Ken, it's done.
12:267-6.
12:28We sell to Gojo. You don't have it.
