00:09 I think I see Ballarat as a network of villages, interconnected villages, where people can
00:15 live and operate in their own little community, but become a genuine part of that community
00:20 and give back to that community, volunteer organisations, footy clubs, other sporting

00:26 I think there's a great opportunity to live, work and play in a sort of 15 minute area
00:32 and that provides more opportunity for people like us and our children to garner more experience
00:39 and build connection, real connection in the area, but also have a tangible impact and
00:45 leave a tangible impact on a city, on the city.
00:51 I think Ballarat in 10 years should be an enhanced city of villages.
00:56 I think we need to focus on housing diversity and opportunities, restoration of the CBD
01:03 and I'd like to see a population-based living in Bakery Hill again, a national sporting
01:08 team, maybe basketball, broader industry, so I think we're very good at food and fibre.
01:16 We have some solid manufacturing industries and opportunities, I think they need to be
01:19 enhanced, protected and improved.
01:22 We can become a logistics freight warehousing hub because we're a transition point between
01:29 agricultural and economic, and professional economic activity.
01:33 I'd love to see some more white collar professional services employment in town.
01:39 I also think that we have an opportunity to benefit from the rapid growth of unaffordability
01:47 in Melbourne, which means more diversity of housing and I think we have the opportunity
01:53 at our scale to really focus on our tertiary education, bring those tertiary institutions
01:59 into the CBD, which will create further stimulus as well.
