00:09 There's a great culture around the town I think, despite the weather everyone's always pretty happy.
00:14 The lake's beautiful and there's always people out and about.
00:18 What kind of changes have you seen, especially in female participation in cricket, that are encouraging to you?
00:26 I think it's just growing, even from when I started playing there's heaps more girls getting out and about on the park, which is great.
00:34 How does that make you feel, that you might be a role model to some of those younger players?
00:38 Oh it's awesome, because you grow up looking up at people and to think that suddenly you're now one of the older girls who other kids look up to is awesome.
00:46 What do you want the city to look like or what changes do you want to see?
00:51 I think female sport is growing and growing. There's obviously a senior women's comp up, which is in its second year and it's grown heaps already.
01:03 Just getting that out bigger and better I think.
01:06 Yeah, more teams.
01:07 Yeah, more teams, high level, that kind of stuff.
01:10 Do you think that will help that junior participation as well, if there's more to aspire to in the senior league?
01:19 Yeah, definitely. It gives kids a pathway somewhere to go, like you don't finish under 15's and you've got places to step onto, which is great.
01:29 What are some of the things that you just love about sport? I know it's not just being cricket, where does that love for sport come from?
01:36 I think it's just team and competition. You grow up with three siblings, there's always a prize to be won if you're the best one out there.
01:44 The people you meet through sport is one of the best parts of it, definitely.
