00:00 Good morning from the Pag-asa Weather Forecasting Center.

00:04 This is our update on the weather for the next 24 hours.

00:09 We will continue to experience the effects of the Northeast Monsoon

00:13 or the cold wind in a large part of the Northern Luzon.

00:18 Meanwhile, for the next 24 hours here in the southern portion of Mindanao,

00:23 it is possible to experience scattered rains with rolling and rolling.

00:27 This is a result of the trough or extension of a low-pressure area

00:31 outside our Philippine Area of Responsibility,

00:34 particularly here in the southern part or in the southern-south of the Mindanao area.

00:39 The chances of a low-pressure area of thunderstorms in the next few days are low

00:44 and we do not expect this to enter our Philippine Area of Responsibility.

00:50 In Metro Manila and in the rest of the country,

00:53 we will continue to experience light rains or thunderstorms in the northern Luzon.

01:02 The chances of thunderstorms are low and sudden rains in Metro Manila

01:08 and in the rest of the country.

01:11 And for the weather forecast for the next 24 hours here in the Luzon,

01:16 because of the cold wind, we will experience light rains or thunderstorms in the northern Luzon.

01:22 So these are the regions of Ilocos Region, Cordillera and Cagayan Valley.

01:28 We have a chance of thunderstorms,

01:31 the sudden rains with rolling and rolling in Metro Manila and in the rest of the Luzon.

01:37 It is clear in the time we expect in most of the Luzon for the next 24 hours.

01:42 Because of the cold wind, we still expect chances or the decrease of our temperature

01:48 that is forecast in the early morning.

01:51 In Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao,

01:55 because of the trough or extension of an LPA outside our Area of Responsibility,

02:01 we will experience light rains with rolling and rolling.

02:06 The cloudy sky in the southern portion of Mindanao is also included,

02:10 particularly in the Soc Sargen Region.

02:13 So in the mentioned areas, we will stay away from thunderstorms or rainfall advisories

02:17 that are possible to be issued by our regional centers in the mentioned areas.

02:23 In the southern portion of Mindanao, the whole of Visayas and in the area of Palawan,

02:28 we will experience light rains.

02:32 Generally, in fair weather conditions, we will still bring rain cover

02:36 because we still expect the chance of thunderstorms,

02:40 usually in the afternoon until the evening.

02:45 In the sea, we currently have high gale warnings in the northern seaboard of the northern Luzon,

02:52 so in the coastal areas of Batanes.

02:54 So to our fishermen and small boats,

02:58 in the mentioned areas, we should not go far because we will experience high waves

03:04 until the sea brings strong winds.

03:07 In the southern portion of our country,

03:09 we should also be careful to our fishermen

03:12 because we still have a chance of experiencing strong winds until the sea brings strong winds.

03:17 And for our 3D extended weather outlook in the surrounding areas of our country,

03:23 here in Luzon, particularly in the northern and central Luzon,

03:27 starting tomorrow, Monday, until Wednesday,

03:30 we expect the effect of a strong wind in a large part of Luzon.

03:36 This is the new trend of our northeast monsoon.

03:39 So for the next 3 days, the whole Luzon will still experience clear weather conditions.

03:46 There is still a chance of light rains or strong winds in the areas of Metro Manila and Baguio City.

03:53 We will still experience chances of afternoon thunderstorms in the Kabikulan area,

03:57 particularly in the area of Legazpi City, tomorrow, Monday.

04:01 And because we expect a strong wind,

04:05 the chances of thunderstorm activity will be low.

04:08 The rainfall will be moderate until Wednesday,

04:11 and we expect only light rains in the mentioned areas.

04:17 In the Visayas, we expect the next 3 days to experience generally fair weather conditions.

04:25 There is still a chance of afternoon thunderstorms or rain showers,

04:29 which are rain showers with lightning and lightning,

04:32 usually from yesterday until tonight,

04:34 tomorrow, Monday, until Tuesday.

04:36 And because of the strong wind,

04:40 we expect the chances of thunderstorm activity will be low until Wednesday.

04:44 Let's just be prepared for the chances of light rains or strong winds.

04:50 Here in the areas of Metro Cebu, Iloilo City, and in the Tacloban City.

04:55 And in Mindanao, because of the trough or extension of a low-pressure area

05:00 that is currently outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility,

05:05 we may also experience heavy rain and lightning in the Davao Region.

05:14 So let's be prepared and alert to the flash floods and landslides in the mentioned areas

05:20 if we experience continuous rain.

05:23 Tomorrow, Monday, in most of Mindanao,

05:26 we will experience light rain.

05:29 And throughout the remainder of the forecast period,

05:32 for the next three days, we will still expect chances of thunderstorms from yesterday until tonight.

05:36 And we expect improving weather conditions starting Tuesday in the Metro Davao Area,

05:42 and it may continue until Wednesday.

05:46 The highlight of the day here in Manila will be in the morning of May 6,

05:52 and it will be low at around 5.49 p.m.
