00:00 >> Questions for Micah.
00:01 >> Micah, we were talking earlier with coach about how hard it is to win on
00:03 the road.
00:04 Now you get to go down to Waco.
00:06 How do you prepare yourself for what you get on the road from crowds and
00:11 things like that?
00:13 >> I think it's just up to the leaders and
00:15 the people who played at Baylor on the road.
00:18 You just tell everybody to stay calm,
00:21 just stick to what the coaches tell us what to do.
00:23 And I think it's the defensive end when it's on the road because it's kind of hard.
00:28 It's sometimes hard to hit shots on the road, but
00:30 the defense can't show up anywhere.
00:32 >> Defense travels, right?
00:33 >> Sir. >> Yeah.
00:34 When you think about your group right now, and
00:37 you had a couple of tough games with heartbreakers.
00:40 And once you wanted to win, you didn't quite pull off.
00:44 How do you stay focused?
00:45 How do you keep everybody on the same page?
00:46 Keep fighting?
00:47 >> Just continuous work and just know the big 12's tough and
00:50 playing good teams, just get back in the gym and get back to work.
00:55 >> What's it say about this team to get down 17 in the first half on Tuesday night
00:59 and come back and pull out a win on the road?
01:02 >> I think it just shows how we have fight.
01:04 And I think we showed that the game before at Iowa State.
01:07 I don't know how much we got down, maybe 19.
01:10 Yeah, we fought back to win.
01:11 So I think it just shows we can beat anybody and
01:14 just that we won't back down and we won't just quit when we get down.
01:19 >> And then on the other side of that, what's the key to maybe getting out to
01:22 a stronger start so that you don't put yourself in that spot?
01:25 >> I've said this before when we had our team meetings and just play our own
01:28 meetings, just like the first possession, we need to act like that's the winning
01:33 possession, like every possession just we have to go out there and be like,
01:37 this can be the one that can win or lose the game.
01:39 So I think that's just how we gotta come out against Baylor and think that way.
01:44 >> You know, Adam in the second half,
01:46 just what type of growth have you seen from him this season?
01:48 >> Just his leadership, his just wanting his want to win.
01:53 You can just see just his poise and just like he's been here before and
01:57 you can just tell.
01:58 So yeah, and you can just tell how much he's worked in offseason,
02:01 how much he's continuing to work right now.
02:03 >> What was it like on Tuesday night to see Avery back in his old building,
02:08 putting 15 up in the big three late and coming away with a win?
02:12 >> Yeah, I was happy for Avery.
02:14 He got that lead charge.
02:16 So that was a really big play.
02:17 I just saw how happy he was to just be there in front of the crowd he's played
02:21 in front of for a lot of games and yeah, we got a win, so it was good.
02:26 >> What stands out to you about Baylor?
02:29 >> Well, Baylor always is known to have a lot of good guards and
02:32 they have that this year.
02:33 They have guys come off the bench that are good.
02:36 So yeah, we just gotta lock in what the coach is telling us to do.
02:39 >> I know how much pride you take in your defensive effort and
02:42 your defensive play.
02:43 Do you look forward to games like this where you know they've got a lot of
02:46 ball handlers?
02:47 >> Definitely, like you said, I'm known for defense and
02:50 I know they have some guys who are on draft boards and stuff.
02:54 So that's just good to go out there and show that I can guard anyone in the country.
02:58 >> Anything else for Micah?
03:01 Okay, thanks, Micah.
