00:00 She was in the car. She didn't want to get out. She was overall very unsure.
00:06 We quickly learned she has no idea what stairs are.
00:10 So, Alon had to pick her up.
00:14 Throughout the first day that we had her, it was just kind of getting to know her and trying to let her navigate the space herself.
00:23 Even to get her up on her feet, we'd have to like pick her up.
00:28 Go get her!
00:30 That night we turned the TV on and she ran into the corner and just like stared at the TV.
00:47 Almost like she was overstimulated.
00:49 Because she was so malnourished, all she wanted to do was sleep.
00:55 She wouldn't lay with us. I remember being really sad.
01:02 She's like, "Oh, she's not gonna be a cuddling dog."
01:05 The second day I had her, my best friend came over.
01:09 Sequoia came right up to her and cuddled in and totally flipped over and was like, "Rub my belly!"
01:16 I had no words. Neither of us could believe it.
01:22 Within a month of us having her, she started to be intrigued with the toys.
01:26 At that point, you could just really see too, like, "Oh, she's still a puppy."
01:29 The relationship they've developed, it's been so awesome to see because when we met each other,
01:42 a pit bull was not something he would have been okay with having.
01:46 And now it's like daddy's little girl.
01:50 Sequoia definitely changed my mind about pit bulls, the bully breed.
01:54 And I was the one convincing her to keep the dog.
01:57 When she started having her play dates and getting to meet other people,
02:03 this entirely different dog came out.
02:05 The beach was definitely the first big outing and her first big, "Wow, she's a dog," moment.
02:14 I see her just beeline it to this group of girls, goes straight into the middle of them,
02:19 lays down, starts rolling on her back.
02:22 She was just in heaven.
02:24 And then one day, she just came up and puts her head on my chest.
02:33 And from then on out, she's just been a total cuddle bug.
02:36 She is two different dogs.
02:39 You see her out in public running and playing and having the best of times ever.
02:46 And then you have her at home just like sleeping, more sleeping, cuddling,
02:53 being stubborn and not wanting to go out to go potty.
02:58 So you just get like the best of both worlds with her all the time.
03:02 The first thing that most people notice about Sequoia is her beauty.
03:10 Then you kind of get talking into the whole, "Where did she come from?
03:13 How did they create these dogs? Who do you buy them from?"
03:16 It's just a conversation we like to have a lot of, like, it's a big responsibility.
03:22 And I just don't ever want to encourage anybody to just go buy one because of how they look.
03:27 Thanksgiving was so fun.
03:31 My mom lives on a ranch.
03:32 She was just living her absolute best life.
03:35 "Do you want the turkey?"
03:40 And she, of course, got a very special dinner.

03:54 She is just such a good dog in all the ways.
