00:00 Aston Villa are out of the Emirates FA Cup in 2024. Chelsea are 3-1 victors here at Villa Park in the fourth round replay.
00:08 It was 0-0 of course at Stamford Bridge. This time around it's the Blues who came out on top and deservedly so as well.
00:14 From start to finish they were the better team. They bossed it in midfield. Villa sloppy in possession, especially in the first half.
00:21 Gave up so much space as well out wide, giving Chelsea the opportunity to get in behind and score plenty of goals.
00:27 They probably could have scored more on the night if they were a bit more clinical.
00:30 And Emi Martinez as well in goal, putting on a decent display to keep the score down.
00:34 The first goal was far too easy as Boubacar Diouf was dispossessed in midfield.
00:39 Went down the left, Noni Madhuike cut it back to Connor Gallagher who struck first time to find the top left-hand corner.
00:45 The second goal was nearly just as bad. It was gifted away in midfield again.
00:49 Went out to the right-hand side for Malo Gusto to cross.
00:53 And then Nicholas Jackson was waiting in the box for an easy unmarked header.
00:57 Theo Carlos really should have headed the ball away.
00:59 He just completely misjudged the flight of the ball and Jackson was there to head in for 2-0.
01:04 At that point you're thinking, well, this isn't Villa's night.
01:07 Unai Emery's getting frustrated. The players looking frustrated as well and just lacking a bit of life.
01:12 Start of the second half was slightly better.
01:15 Then Enzo Fernandez from about 30 yards out scores a stunning free kick to put the game beyond doubt.
01:20 Nothing that Emi Martinez can do about that one.
01:23 It wasn't really a foul to be honest. Yuri Tieleman on Fernandez trying to shoot.
01:27 It was a bit of a soft one. It's a bit unfortunate but you can't take anything away from the finish.
01:32 A really good free kick from Fernandez who celebrated by taking his shirt off and holding it up in front of the away support.
01:38 Maybe a little bit excessive for an FA Cup game but fair play for a very good goal.
01:42 Villa actually perked up in the final 20 minutes or so and they did get a consolation goal.
01:47 Musa Diaby off the bench gaining some confidence.
01:50 He struck both posts. It wasn't exactly an easy finish for him but it went in the back of the net nonetheless to make it 3-1.
01:56 It looked a bit better on the score sheet. It gives Diaby some confidence.
01:59 First goal in 2024. The story is that Villa are out of the FA Cup and now just in two competitions.
02:04 The Premier League and the Europa Conference League.
