00:00 >> What was, I know it's been just a couple of days since that Oklahoma State game,
00:03 but what really was after you've been able to watch the film?
00:05 What was the takeaway from a much needed win?
00:08 >> Shoot, I think defensively we played really well.
00:10 Offensively we were a little stagnant at times, but
00:14 I think overall I think we played good enough to get the win.
00:18 So I'd say it was a good win.
00:20 >> Guys like Rivaldo and LeTray and John, I know they've given you guys a boost all
00:25 year, but especially in conference play, LeTray and Rivaldo,
00:28 whether it's hitting shots, playing defense, how helpful have they been this year?
00:33 >> Shoot, they're a big impact to the team.
00:34 Coach says we got eight starters, so shoot, with Luke playing, now we got nine.
00:38 So I think our bench gives us great energy, and
00:42 they come in ready to play and spark the team every time.
00:45 >> You mentioned Luke, what was it like to see him and the way he performed Saturday,
00:49 and how does that gain your trust going forward?
00:52 >> Yeah, I mean, shoot, Luke came in the game, played with great confidence.
00:56 And when Luke's playing with confidence, he's really good.
00:59 So I'm excited to see him continue to play more and more now, and
01:04 hopefully continue to give us the spark.
01:07 >> When things get stagnant for you guys on the offensive end,
01:09 what does that look like?
01:10 What's the recipe to getting that thing moving a little bit more?
01:14 >> Shoot, we just gotta move without the ball.
01:16 I'd say to set goals for players, just try to get you guys open and
01:22 get downhill and start to dial them in more often.
01:24 So that's my main goal when I see the offense getting stagnant.
01:29 >> How well do you feel, I think, everybody stayed level-headed on Saturday when
01:33 techs start flying and all that crazy stuff start happening?
01:36 >> Yeah, I mean, shoot, we gotta be a little better emotionally, but
01:39 I love when our team is playing with passion.
01:40 So although it could have hurt us, I think that passion and
01:45 love for the game, I think it was there that day, so.
01:49 >> They lose pretty good, huh?
01:50 >> Definitely, definitely.
01:51 They got a good back court, they got a good big, so I think coming in tomorrow,
01:56 we got a good game plan for them, and I'm excited.
01:58 >> I know Porter talks about the one game winning streaks, but
02:01 to be able to put three together, how good would that be for you guys?
02:04 >> Shoot, that'd be good.
02:05 The goal here is to get a big 12 championship, so we're gonna keep reaching for that.
02:12 >> This is where playing in the big 12 helps,
02:14 it's not really emotional letdown coming off the bed bomb.
02:19 You go on the bale and you kind of go on through this entire conference season.
02:23 >> Yeah, I mean, shoot, every game is gonna be a good game with the big 12.
02:29 There's really no teams that are easy, easy games, honestly.
02:33 So I think going in every game prepared is key.
02:37 >> Miles, even when you're not leading and scoring in some of these games,
02:41 how much do you think you've improved as a vocal leader on the bench or
02:44 even in the game?
02:45 >> Yeah, shoot, I think K-State game, I think being more vocal,
02:51 it really showed me how much it helped the team.
02:54 So yeah, I think that's just something that I've been trying to do more often,
02:58 to see the league, these guys using my voice for it.
03:01 So the coach is encouraging it, so.
03:03 >> Baylor's coming off a tough loss in Lawrence,
03:06 you think that will impact the game at all?
03:08 >> Shoot, definitely, they got it coming off the loss, we're coming off the win.
03:12 So either way, it's a new game, and I'm sure they got to save a lot of
03:16 confidence as they did coming in, so it's gonna be a good one, for sure.
03:20 >> Appreciate you.
03:24 >> Appreciate it, man.
