Harry and Meghan hit back as they face criticism after launching new Sussex.com website.

Prince Harry and Meghan have launched a new website using their Sussex title in a move which could prompt a fresh row with the Royal Family.

Their rebrand from the Archewell website, Sussex.com, appears to emphasise their royal status, with a royal coat of arms, and the message: “The office of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”

A picture of the couple smiling at last year’s Invictus Games also greets visitors to the site.

A source told the Daily Mail the use of the royal crest and Sussex titles could spark complaints from the Royal Family.

However, a source close to Harry and Meghan said: “Prince Harry and Meghan are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. That is a fact. It is their surname and family name.”

A biography for Prince Harry on the page doesn’t mention the Royal Family, instead describing Harry as ‘‘a humanitarian, military veteran, mental health advocate, and environmental campaigner’’.

“The Duke is the New York Times Bestselling author of Spare, a memoir of his life told with compassion, vulnerability, and unflinching honesty,” it states.

“Spare was the publishing industry’s fastest selling non-fiction book, selling more than 1.4 million copies on its first day of publication.”

Meanwhile, Meghan is described as “one of the most influential women in the world” and a “feminist and champion of human rights”.

“She is a NY Times Best Selling author, publishing the acclaimed children’s book, ‘The Bench’, and ‘Together: Our Community Kitchen’ a collaborative publication with the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen in the UK, who were displaced after the tragic Grenfell Fire,” it states.

00:00 Harry and Meghan are making headlines once again, and thankfully not for any more anecdotes
00:05 of virginity loss or frostbitten genitals.
00:07 The no longer royal but still royal-ish couple have just launched their new website, and
00:12 some people are not happy about it.
00:14 The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have undergone an online rebrand, changing the name of their
00:18 website from Archwell to Sussex.com.
00:21 The new webpage design seems to emphasise the couple's regal status.
00:25 The royal coat of arms is featured on its front page, and refers to Harry and Meghan
00:28 by their royal titles.
00:30 The couple have actively distanced themselves from the monarchy, and are no longer working
00:33 royals.
00:34 So the use of all this royal language and symbolism is likely to anger members of the
00:38 royal family.
00:39 This isn't the first time Harry and Meghan have tried to keep some elements of royal
00:42 life after exiting the working family.
00:45 Towards the end of 2023, almost four years after leaving his role as a senior royal,
00:49 Prince Harry was battling for the same level of protection and security he'd always had
00:53 as a working royal.
00:54 Some labelled this as hypocritical, saying he was picking and choosing which parts of
00:58 the role he wanted.
00:59 And these same arguments have resurfaced once more.
01:02 Critics of the couple say their use of royal titles and branding online is gauche, and
01:07 that they're cashing in on their royal connections for their own personal gain.
01:10 But sources close to Harry and Meghan have defended the move.
01:13 They argue that Sussex is their surname and their family name.
01:16 That is a fact.
01:17 The Palace are yet to comment on the website rebrand, but worse comes to worse, and it
01:22 could have it shut down.
