00:15 Telemedicine has been a long-standing problem in prisons in the country and in medical facilities,
00:19 including doctors and nurses.
00:20 That is why Telemedicine, which was a popular technology during the pandemic, was used to the rescue.
00:25 Using a tablet, a person deprived of liberty or PDL can be consulted if they are suffering from a disease.
00:33 DOJ has asked the Correctional Institution for Women, along with other tech companies, to do so.
00:38 They don't need additional facilities.
00:41 They are inside.
00:42 They will be monitored by the nurse while they are receiving telemedicine.
00:46 Tablets provided to the correctional institutions are free.
00:50 Consultation with doctors is free.
00:53 For a limited number of PDLs, you can use the voucher donated.
00:57 Telemedicine app is also easy to use.
01:00 Using the app, PDLs can be accessed by various specialists.
01:04 In the heart, breast, and cervical, those are the illnesses that are here, sir.
01:11 Are there any cases that are not detected because there is only one doctor and it would lead to more serious problems?
01:17 There are many cases like that, sir.
01:20 But we have outside referrals, but that is not enough for 3,138 PDLs.
01:29 We started in the CIW.
01:30 Why are we doing this in all of our penal facilities, in all of B Corp-wide?
01:34 The telemedicine program started here in the Correctional Institution for Women
01:39 is not only for the benefit of the health of PDLs.
01:42 It is also a way to avoid being used by medical persons to get out of prison.
01:48 Aside from the telemedicine program, DOJ will also strengthen the livelihood program of PDLs in the correctional.
