00:23 Okay, so we had a cat for five years and it was killed on New Year's Eve and in the ensuing weeks I just felt very, I felt lonely not having a little companion in the house.
00:38 So I decided to get a dog this time and I was looking through the adoption agencies and sort of making a little list and I put him on my list.
00:51 I wanted a Staffie or a Staffie Cross and when I realised how long he'd been in there I thought we'll see him first and we met him and we were just really impressed by him.
01:04 You know, he was manic and crazy but I had a feeling he'd calm down.
01:10 And he did.
01:11 When he was out of the institutional environment.
01:13 He's calmed down so much, so, so much.
01:17 And I think the more we walk him the more calm and relaxed he is and he just sort of like flops around and goes to sleep.
01:25 He snores like a person.
01:27 So he's very loud but it's okay because it's really cute.
01:32 So we decided to change his name.
01:35 You know, Rocky's a perfectly good name but I just felt he's so gentle I just wanted to give him a gentler name.
01:42 So we've called him Oberon, King of the Fairies, Shakespeare, Midsummer Night's Dream.
01:49 But we just called him Obie.
01:51 And we were just thinking about names and that's the one he responded to.
01:56 So I thought well that's it then.
01:57 He's chosen his own name.
01:59 I don't know, I feel like we've just really hit the jackpot on this one.
02:10 He's just so perfect.
02:12 And I think like when you go to the pound you never really know what you're going to get.
02:16 But it's just such a great opportunity.
02:19 You get to really help a dog out and give him a good home.
02:23 I just think it's great for the dog and for us as well.
02:28 Yeah, we thought we would have to do a lot more training because he was quite manic when we met him.
02:33 So I was sort of thinking, oh, I don't know.
02:37 But anyway, it's been surprising.
02:41 Surprising how quickly he's learning.
02:43 He wants to come to us.
02:45 Yeah, yeah.
02:46 No, he loves it now.
02:48 We want to be ecstatic for him.
02:50 Coming here today, seeing him in his home environment, super settled boy.
02:55 It's the best outcome we could have ever hoped for.
02:57 There's always that right home.
03:00 It's just patiently waiting for the right people to come through those doors and take them home.
03:05 We have four dogs that are set over 200 days in the facility.
03:11 We also have 14 all up that are over 100 days.
03:15 So there is absolutely no time limit on these guys finding their forever home.
