00:12 We keep saying we're close, we're right there, you know.
00:15 It comes down to making one or two more plays when we need to.
00:18 And that's heavy on my shoulders.
00:20 You can sit back here and think about all the plays that could have gone the other way and the what-ifs.
00:26 That game kind of sucks because you can do that with everybody.
00:29 It comes down to, we felt like we were playing our best ball at the end of this season, we just gotta make one more play.
00:34 Okay, so obviously we're all competitors.
00:37 You got guys that you're trying to one-up.
00:39 Patrick Mahomes, he's been the guy that's basically stopped you from getting to the Super Bowl.
00:44 Do you feel any pressure playing against him, like, "Hey, I haven't got him yet. I gotta get him this time."
00:50 Is there that type of thought or is it just another game and we just gotta get it going?
00:54 I think it's another game for me.
00:56 Whether it was him over there, whether it was Lamar, whether it was Joe, whoever it was, the name of the game is to win.
01:02 It doesn't matter who's over there playing.
01:04 We get so caught up in the quarterback versus quarterback controversy where it's, you know, I'm not playing him.
01:10 I'm playing that defense and the defensive coordinator and doing whatever I can to try to put him in a bad spot
01:16 and to force balls and to make mistakes.
01:19 And again, we didn't do enough of it. We were close, had our opportunities, and unfortunately just didn't make them.
01:24 So Bruce, me, a lot of other people are saying the Bills need to get you some more surrounding help on offense.
01:31 What do you say to that?
01:33 I'd say I think we got a great young core right now. I'm talking about James Cook, Pro Bowl guy.
01:37 Yep, balled out.
01:38 Talk about Khalil Shakur, who stepped up real late in the season and became kind of a go-to target.
01:43 Yep.
01:44 Talk about Dalton Kincaid, who's our first round pick.
01:47 A dog.
01:48 He's a dog.
01:49 A dog.
01:50 I mean, I go through the entire list, man. The guys that we played with this year, they do things the right way.
01:55 We've got a guy like Stephan Diggs, who, again, one of the best receivers in the game.
01:59 But guys that do the things the right way and do it for each other, you're going to have success.
02:03 And I think that we pulled together late in that season this last year and found ways to win football games.
02:09 And, you know, it's never going to be perfect. You can't win it every single year.
02:13 But we've got to go win it one year.
