00:00 >> Jamie, you had a pretty big shot.
00:03 What was that like?
00:05 >> I mean, the feeling was great just to know that my teammates and
00:08 my coaches trust me in that moment.
00:11 But like I said, we had a couple of big plays before that.
00:16 Waldo hit a big three, Tega and one, Lowe's came down, hit a one.
00:20 So, I mean, it was a whole bunch, adding up to it, I just hit the shot.
00:24 >> What was the locker room like?
00:26 >> It was crazy, you can hear the music right now.
00:28 So it was a blast.
00:30 >> Okay, we'll go Bob and Jesse.
00:32 >> Waldo, what was the process of this entire week of trying to get back?
00:37 And did you feel you've re-injured it earlier in the first half,
00:41 you just trying to gut your way through it?
00:44 >> I just got in with my trainers, straight coaching,
00:47 just doing a whole lot of treatment.
00:50 Some days I did more treatment sessions than I had meals.
00:53 And it was just, I think that was the first collegiate game I missed in my
00:57 career, I didn't wanna miss it.
00:59 And I definitely didn't wanna miss another one, so it was just grind and
01:02 get back.
01:03 And I just tweaked it real quick, just felt a little discomfort.
01:08 So I got something out, kept it moving, and I was ready to get back in.
01:12 >> Jesse.
01:13 >> JB, it looked like that last play,
01:15 it looked like maybe the play broke down a little bit and
01:17 you kinda just had to make a shot.
01:18 But just what was going on on that final play, and
01:22 what was your mindset going into it?
01:23 >> I mean, really, it was supposed to be horns clear,
01:26 the dude clears out, and I'm trying to get downhill,
01:28 get to the basket, cuz we were in it, the bonus.
01:30 So hopefully I was trying to get there, get foul, or make the layup.
01:33 But I mean, I had to maneuver cuz he cut off the drive, and
01:37 I just ended up going to my go-to move that I always work on, and that's a step up.
01:41 >> And how big is that for, just for you personally?
01:43 I know today the shooting was a little bit of a struggle, but
01:45 to come through like that, how big is that for you?
01:48 >> I mean, to see that going, it feels good.
01:49 By the end of the day, the goal is to always get a win, and
01:52 just help these guys, and always move forward.
01:56 >> And just to go off of that, it's always great when you're hitting shots.
02:01 It's about what you're doing when you're not hitting shots.
02:03 Up until that point, it felt like JV was guarded.
02:06 He was talking on defense, he kept us engaged, he was a leader.
02:09 Much more than just a scorer, and then came in clutch at the end.
02:14 >> Cool, nice.
02:15 JV, when you think about your career broadly,
02:18 are there other moments that stick out in your mind, or
02:20 is this shot really kind of a landmark for you?
02:22 >> I mean, I think this is the one, cuz just to be with a great group of guys like
02:27 these, these are my brothers, and just to get a win like that,
02:30 especially for the state of Oklahoma, I mean, it's huge.
02:32 >> We'll go to Josh.
02:36 >> Yeah, well, you're going back and forth with fans pretty good.
02:38 Just in general, how well do you feel like yourself, the team,
02:41 handles just the emotion of the game, and just the swings of it, and all of that?
02:45 >> So, it just, that gets me going.
02:49 A lot of my teammates try to calm me down, but I feed into that.
02:54 That gets me going.
02:55 And for the team, we're an emotional team.
02:58 In the last game against them, we had a bunch of techs.
03:00 So it was about playing with that same passion, but less emotional,
03:05 if that makes sense, as we're going shots to make it.
03:09 >> We'll go to Eli, then Holden.
03:10 >> I know you guys focus on taking things one at a time, making the make, and
03:17 all that, but this win boosts the resume, it helps what you guys have ahead.
03:22 How much of that is on the mind at any point here,
03:24 and knowing what this one might do for you guys?
03:26 >> Just individually.
03:31 I don't have that many games guaranteed, but I'm just trying to play every game.
03:37 I think we're all doing it on this team, playing every game like it's our last.
03:39 We think we're the best team in the country, and
03:42 that's the type of confidence we have to have against every team that we play.
03:45 And it just shows.
03:48 >> Holden.
03:52 >> Yeah, Revaldo, talking about interacting with the crowd.
03:56 It was pretty deafening in there at some points.
03:59 I mean, what's it like after JB hits the shot, and it's just stunned silence?
04:04 >> [LAUGH] >> That's what we love.
04:08 We love that silence.
04:09 >> You see me on the film, I'm looking at the ball go in, and
04:12 he hits the helmet in front of JB, like, my God.
04:16 Cuz I had a game winner last year against our rival when I was at Oregon,
04:19 I guess, Oregon State.
04:20 And I just know that feeling, and I was just so happy for him.
04:24 It is surreal.
04:25 Even when your teammate makes it, you feel like you made the shot.
04:28 And that'll go down in history.
