May binuo nang website ang National Commission on Senior Citizens para sa mas madaling pagpapa-rehistro at distribusyon ng P10,000 cash gift ng mga aabot sa edad na 80 pataas! Pero hindi pa raw agad-agad maibibigay ng gobyerno ang cash gift.

00:31 This is the law that was signed yesterday by President Bongbong Marcos

00:35 that sets a limit of 10,000 pesos cash gift to senior citizens

00:40 who are aged 80, 85, 90, and 95 years old.

00:45 In addition, for 100,000 pesos cash gift,

00:49 it's time to reach 100 years old.

00:55 Grandpa Aida, who is 80 years old, was also happy about this.

01:33 But according to the National Commission of Senior Citizens,

01:37 the IRR or Implementing Rules and Regulations

01:42 must be implemented and it should be published in the official government newspaper

01:45 before it can be implemented.

01:47 There is still no budget for this.

01:50 It means that it cannot be accepted by the senior citizens next week or next month,

01:56 even if they are already 80 years old.

01:58 It's not retroactive.

02:00 So those who are already old enough to be able to afford it before it's implemented,

02:04 there will be no cash gift.

02:07 The 80-year-old grandmother said,

02:11 We will give it right away because we don't know if the President will be here tomorrow or the day after or just a few days later.

02:21 We cannot use it anymore. It's gone.

02:24 According to the National Commission of Senior Citizens,

02:26 the President is already rushing to implement the IRR and he will pursue it in the country's budget next year.

02:52 the National Commission of Senior Citizens said,

02:55 they will register with the Binuong Elderly Data Management System through their website.

03:05 the senior citizens must apply to the OSCA or Office of the Senior Citizen of your city hall or municipality.

03:12 More than 10 million senior citizens are qualified for the benefits set by the law

03:17 and they hope to benefit from it while they are still alive.
