00:00 Welcome to DREXPARK, I'm Vedant Johari and today we are at the Indian Supercross Racing
00:10 League, the final round of it held in Bangalore.
00:29 Before this, there were two other rounds, one held in Pune and one held in Ahmedabad.
00:34 Now the final round was supposed to happen in Delhi but however due to unforeseen circumstances
00:38 such as the riots and the protests happening in Delhi, the final round was brought down
00:43 to Bangalore.
00:44 Now as you can see we have riders from the Supercross League riding all over, we have
00:48 Brian Giles right there, 12 year old champion, flying on the track outdoing everyone else
00:53 that we see and he's the only international rider to ride in the 85cc category.
00:58 Now I'll come to the categories in some time but let's talk about the ISRL.
01:02 So the ISRL is basically hosted in India to expose talent and to actually bring an international
01:07 level of motocross riding down into our country.
01:10 Now India has never in its history seen international riders come and race at this level on such
01:16 advanced tracks.
01:17 Now the track that they've made in Bangalore is an AMA spec track.
01:20 Now the Indian riders, it's the first time they are on the AMA spec tracks, however the
01:24 international riders have got a taste and feel of this before.
01:28 So now coming to the categories hosted in the ISRL, well we have four categories.
01:33 Now they start with the 85cc, now the 85cc is just the demo category, it's not really
01:39 a race, however the riders are racing but it's not taken into the leaderboard.
01:44 Following that we have the 250cc India and Asia mix, so in that category we have riders
01:47 from India, from Thailand and Sri Lanka racing in that.
01:51 Then we have the 250cc international category.
01:54 Now following that we have the 450cc international and that is something you guys have to see.
01:59 450cc international is crazy, the vibe that they have, the amount they fly around on the
02:04 track and slide around the track is beautiful.
02:07 So amongst these four categories we have six teams.
02:09 We have a home team from Bangalore itself, led by none other than Mr. C.S. Santosh himself,
02:15 Big Rock Motorsports.
02:17 Following that we have Gujarat Real Blazers and that is also led by a massive name in
02:22 the motorsports industry in India, that is Mr. Gaurav Gill, a WRC driver hailing from
02:27 India.
02:28 Then we have Rice Motorsports, we have SG Speed Racers, BB Racing and we also have Mohitej's
02:33 Racing.
02:34 So these are the six teams that are participating in the C8 ISRL.
02:38 So now coming to the riders, well in the 85cc category, we have a rider called Brian Kiles.
02:45 He hails from Thailand and man, that guy is fast on track.
02:50 He's leaving, so he's the only international in the 85cc category, the rest are all Indians,
02:56 but it shows the level of difference of motorsports that we get abroad than we get in India.
03:01 That guy is flying ahead of the league, he's lapping the riders, not just the last rider
03:05 but the mid-level riders also.
03:07 Then following that in the 250cc India-Asia mix, we have a few riders from India such
03:12 as Rugved Bharguje, he's racing for SG Speed Racers and Ikshans Shanbhag.
03:16 Both of them have competed in the MRF, Motocross Championship and various others.
03:22 In the 250cc international, a name to look out for is Reid Taylor, he's racing for Big
03:28 Rock Motorsports and he is also flying, he's leading the category in the 250cc international
03:34 and now coming to the 450cc international.
03:37 Well there are two names who really stand out to me.
03:39 One is Jordy Trixier, he's a French rider racing for BB Racing, multiple time national
03:44 champion and that guy is really quick.
03:47 Then following that, we also have Matt Moss, racing for Big Rock Motorsports and he is
03:51 a 9th time Australian Supercross champion.
03:54 Now these two guys are setting the 450cc class on fire.
03:59 Right now, they're led by Matt Moss because of an incident that happened with Jordy Trixier
04:02 in the previous round.
04:05 Big Rock is leading the championship amongst all categories, from the 450cc international
04:09 to the 250cc India-Asia.
04:11 Ok so here I have Brian Kiles with me, the guy I told you about, the 12 year old champion
04:39 in the 85cc category.
04:41 So how does it feel riding in Thailand?
04:44 Yeah it's good.
04:45 In Thailand, the track is not the same as India, like they have motocross and supercross,
04:51 the India have only supercross right?
04:53 Yeah it's different.
04:56 So now you've come to India and you're riding, how do you like the track over here?
05:00 I like it, it's a little bit slippery, hard pack, so it's kind of like Thailand, so track
05:08 is really good, I like it, thank you very much.
05:11 Nice, ok so now my last question, what do you think of the Indian Supercross Racing League,
05:15 this league that you're racing in, you think it's a good thing that's happening for you?
05:19 It's really good competition, I really like it and I'm excited to race tomorrow, so hope
05:29 you guys enjoy.
05:30 Crazy, and now you're leading the 85cc, congratulations and good luck.
05:35 Thank you.
