TCU's Kurtis Byrne talked highly of how resilient this TCU team is. The Frogs have had to regain a lead in 3 of their last 4 games and have continued to defy the odds. Byrne had a 2 RBI double that propelled the Frogs to an 11-0 start for the season.

00:00 >> Holy cow, it gets hotter in here every year.
00:05 >> It really does.
00:06 >> Yeah.
00:06 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:11 >> I got a little bit of battle scars.
00:13 >> Yeah, I got some good ones.
00:14 So yeah, the dirt's freaking really hard here.
00:16 >> So you have double tonight, triple, and
00:19 a couple fights over the course.
00:22 What does this say about this team that you guys find yourself in all different
00:26 kinds of situations and you still come out on top?
00:28 >> Yeah, I think it's tough for the team to never out of the ball again and
00:31 making sure they continue with the process of winning each pitch and
00:34 not worrying about the outcomes per se and just worry about just winning each pitch.
00:38 And I think for me, even whenever you get a blow like that,
00:41 just keep responding is really the biggest thing for this team.
00:43 It's learning how to deal with adversity.
00:45 I think we've done a really nice job so far.
00:47 But we're gonna get keep getting tested all throughout the year.
00:49 We're gonna make sure that we stick with it.
00:51 >> Second triple of your career.
00:54 >> Yeah. >> And when did you know you were
00:55 making three of them?
00:56 >> So I saw the guy on the left, he took a dive, I heard.
00:58 And then I just honestly just kept going.
01:01 I don't know, yeah, I usually don't hit many of them unless it's 4-10 to left
01:04 center, but yeah, no, it was definitely, it was cool.
01:08 The guys did a really good job.
01:09 They were getting on base all night, taking really good at-bats team, and
01:12 this will be the biggest thing.
01:13 >> Third four-run comeback of the week this week.
01:16 At this point, are the nerves pretty much non-existent whenever you're in a half
01:19 or down though?
01:20 >> No, I mean, I wouldn't say that.
01:21 It's just we've been there before, and
01:23 it's just good to know that we can handle those types of situations.
01:27 But we try to continue to get better each day, work as a team, and
01:31 make sure that whenever we have the opportunity to bury somebody,
01:33 that we're gonna do it.
01:34 Just so we don't have to rely on those late innings,
01:37 as Coach Sarlis said earlier, you gotta make sure that you stick with the process,
01:41 and you don't want every pitch to matter at the end.
01:44 So that's really been the biggest thing.
01:45 >> [INAUDIBLE] >> Yeah, dudes, right?
01:49 Just dudes, yeah.
01:50 >> [INAUDIBLE]
01:53 >> Yeah, I mean, definitely a new energy.
01:55 It's really cool to see young guys like that just come in and step in and
01:58 play really pivotal roles.
02:00 It's been really, really cool to watch, especially those guys.
02:03 They're continuing to grow, and
02:04 it kinda feels like they're not freshmen anymore,
02:06 just by the way they're playing and doing a really good job.
02:08 And I think it's really been the biggest thing.
02:10 Guys like Ryder Robinson, Chase Brunson, and Sammy Myers, doing a great job
02:15 all throughout the lineup and really getting us some really good things and
02:17 doing a really nice job.
02:18 Thanks guys.
