01:11 President Bongbong Marcos and First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos have left the Philippines for Melbourne, Australia for the 50th anniversary of the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit.
01:21 In his departure speech, Marcos introduced Australia's support for the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea or UNCLOS
01:29 and the 2016 Arbitral Award in the South China Sea that favors the Philippines and opposes China's involvement here.
01:37 The Summit will be an opportunity for the Philippines to thank Australia, ASEAN's oldest dialogue partner,
01:44 for its unwavering support for the rule of law, for the 1982 UNCLOS and the 2016 Arbitral Award,
01:53 through timely statements of support as well as through capacity building and academic initiatives to mainstream appreciation of international law.
02:03 It is expected that the Summit will discuss the cooperation and broadening of Australia's and Southeast Asia's relations.
02:12 This is also the first time that ASEAN leaders have come together this year as an opportunity to re-examine the position of the Philippines,
02:20 especially on regional and international issues.
02:23 At the Leaders' Retreat, ASEAN leaders are expected to discuss the various issues facing Southeast Asia and the whole world.
02:31 The President also has a bilateral meeting with leaders in Cambodia and New Zealand.

08:35 Then our farmers will be able to avail of sure aid loan coming from Agricultural Credit and Policy Council worth P25,000 without any interest.
08:49 Okay. But on what you mentioned Mr. De Guzman, that the hectare of onion farm is affected,
08:57 how much loss has been incurred?
09:00 Based on our estimate, it's P60 million because the total cost of production for a one hectare of onion is P200,000 average.
09:11 So you multiply that to 325 hectares, so you get that value.
09:19 On the rice, the total loss of rice is P539 hectares affecting 545 farmers.
09:30 There's no rice left. It's all dried up.
09:33 So what the owners did is they fed the rice to the cattle so that the animals can benefit.
09:41 How much loss did you incur?
09:44 The average cost for the one hectare of rice production is around P50,000.
09:50 So P50,000 times P539, that's something like P27 million.
09:55 The promised help from the DA, is that enough or not? What is the reaction of the farmers?

10:10 They will send the rice to help in the irrigation and they will also borrow water pumps to save the remaining onion farm.
