00:08 have been receiving unsolicited calls claiming to be from community alarm companies.
00:13 In one instance, two men targeted an elderly woman on her own doorstep,
00:17 asking for her bank details before they could install new equipment.
00:20 In another case, a man received a phone call asking for his bank details in relation to his community alarm service.
00:27 Three residents in another part of Derbyshire were approached on the phone by fraudsters
00:31 who implied that representatives from their company would come to their home to remove community alarm equipment if they didn't pay up.
00:37 Derbyshire County Council says that it will never ask for payment or bank details over the phone
00:42 or call unannounced on the doorstep, nor will any of its representatives,
00:46 and it is urging residents to be on their guard against bogus callers and phone scammers.
00:52 The driver of a McLaren sports car has been stopped and reported by Derbyshire Police over illegal modifications to the vehicle.
00:59 Officers from the Derbyshire Boats Policing Unit spotted the McLaren as it passed them on the M1 near Tibbs Shelf.
01:05 The supercar was being driven with no front number plate and an illegal rear number plate,
01:09 while the tinted windows only allowed 23% light transmission when the legal minimum is 70%.
01:15 Police made the driver remove the tinting at the roadside and reported them for the offences.
