00:00 It was a foggy commute this morning in Rochester, New York, as the wet weather sticks around
00:06 across the Northeast.
00:07 And as we said earlier, that soaking rain, it's going to stick with us in New York tonight,
00:11 which means it's a wet commute by daybreak.
00:15 The roads kicking up with spray, as that can make poor visibility too, at times in and
00:21 of itself.
00:22 So a lot going on across the eastern U.S., and so there will be some slowdowns to contend
00:27 with there.
00:28 Plus, we've got the yellow lights on the board throughout some of the west and the south.
00:32 Miami, Florida, you're on the yellow light board.
00:35 Slower morning commute.
00:36 The good news is, not quite as tricky as this past morning, so we're off the red board,
00:40 if you will.
00:41 Meanwhile, yellow light in Phoenix, Arizona, puts us with a few showers, and Salt Lake
00:45 City also dealing with a touch of morning rainfall.
00:49 Across the nation, we are dealing with a frontal boundary in the north-central tier of the
00:53 nation.
00:54 That shouldn't create too many problems.
00:55 Moisture pushing into the southwest.
00:58 We see some of those morning showers still kicking things off in Los Angeles.
01:01 And Dallas, looking at the afternoon thunderstorms, and there's still moisture moving off the
01:06 east coast.
01:07 So a lot going on here.
01:08 Vegas, you're going to have a few thunderstorms working through some parts through the interior.
01:12 West will certainly find some of that activity.
01:14 Phoenix, Tucson, all dealing with showers, so minor delays there.
01:18 Los Angeles, it's early in the day.
01:20 Keep in mind, towards the Grapevine, flurries could fall, but really not expecting much
01:24 in the way of accumulations.
01:25 Meanwhile, as you work your way off to the east through the south, we're going to have
01:31 those thunderstorms, and some of these are going to be strong to severe.
01:33 Oklahoma City, Dallas, San Antonio, that's where we have those major delay concerns.
01:39 Farther east, it's about a few thunderstorms in Miami, some minor delays there.
01:43 We're used to that type of weather.
01:45 Boston into Bangor, we do have some rain, at least to contend with, even a few flakes
01:49 mixing in early in Bangor, and we are going to be talking about that rain, at least starting
01:53 off the day in a place like Philadelphia.
01:55 The green lights, where it's all good to go, it's going to be Pittsburgh, as clouds give
01:59 way to more sunshine, and Spokane, intervals of clouds and sunshine.
02:04 Flight cancellations this week, they're up there, one to three hundred, so there will
02:09 be some more travel issues than we'd expect on a typical winter day, and that's partly
02:15 due to some of the thunderstorm activity that's taking place across the nation this time of
02:19 year.
