00:00 >> Transition for you, I guess, a little bit, or not so much?
00:04 >> It's always a transition when you go into a different school, but
00:09 really, overall, it's just been a great experience.
00:13 Learning the offense, it's been very,
00:18 very easily football is gonna be football at the end of the day.
00:23 It's just different terminology and picking up that lingo.
00:27 And overall, it's been the best experience I've had so far.
00:33 >> Have you had a chance to dive into those playbook yet or
00:36 how can that next week be?
00:38 >> We learned, we hold meetings by ourselves,
00:43 learning the offense and most definitely just
00:48 getting to learn the playbook quicker.
00:51 So when spring ball hit, we starting off the ground fast.
00:55 >> Coaching stations?
00:58 >> Coaching stations, yeah, most definitely.
01:02 I definitely have a story in the coaching stations.
01:04 One day I had the red jersey and the red jersey mean you're leading the group.
01:09 And you gotta be mentally tough.
01:12 Sometimes they'll call you back just to see how you react to it and everything.
01:17 And you gotta be well conditioned and
01:22 that experience all around just grew me to a better person eventually.
01:30 Cuz I knew after I got done with that, that I can do anything, really.
01:34 >> What's the talent level like in the room with you?
01:39 >> We got a lot of talent in that room.
01:42 We really pushing each other to be the best that we can be.
01:45 Last year, what they said was,
01:51 it was the best group that they could have had so far.
01:57 But we were pushing to be the best group on the field at any time.
02:02 So when Coach Seth wanna put two backs in,
02:07 that we all can do everything on the field that he want us to do.
02:13 >> [INAUDIBLE]
02:18 >> Family is really everything to me.
02:21 I bust my butt off for these moments for my family.
02:27 Really just keeping the main thing the main thing though,
02:33 playing the game that I love and fell in love with as a youngin.
02:40 And just really play good for
02:45 them, that's really what I wanna do.
02:51 >> [INAUDIBLE]
02:55 >> I have two brothers named Chris and
02:58 Ernest and I have a sister named Marlena and my mom, Charlotte and my dad, Ernest.
03:05 So yeah, playing for all of them.
03:08 >> [INAUDIBLE]
03:11 >> Play football, my little brother,
03:12 he plays at my old school right now.
03:15 He's the running back there.
03:16 So, keeping up with him, teaching him the ropes of that playbook and
03:22 giving him the little nuggets that he can do to elevate his game in that playbook.
03:28 And I really can't wait to see him play too this upcoming season.
03:35 He's going into his freshman year, so
03:38 really can't wait to see what he's gonna do on the turf.
03:41 >> What's your name?
03:43 >> Marlena, it's M-A-R-L-A-N-A.
03:46 >> [INAUDIBLE]
03:52 >> It was really just time to have
03:55 a fresh start, really just challenge myself again.
04:02 Going from the FCS to the SEC, so really,
04:08 it's the same thing, football is football.
04:11 But can't wait to just get ready on the field and play.
04:13 >> [INAUDIBLE]
04:17 >> 40 times, yeah, last time I ran 40,
04:21 it was like 4-4, but I don't know right now.
04:25 Yes.
04:27 >> What was it about Oklahoma that was attractive for
04:29 you in playing with DeMarco?
04:32 >> What was really attractive was really what you said, Coach Murray.
04:35 One of the best running backs I could say to ever play this game.
04:43 Had the Russian title in the NFL for a while.
04:48 And I just wanna learn from that.
04:51 What was his regiments every day and what made him who he is?
04:57 And put that into my game and elevate my game even more today.
05:01 >> You mentioned FCS to SEC.
05:03 I think a lot of people look at that and be like, man,
05:05 that's gonna be a tough adjustment.
05:06 Do you feel like you have something to prove that you can play at this level?
05:12 >> No, not really.
05:13 At the end of the day, football is football.
05:16 And at the end of the day, I'm just ready to get back to work and
05:22 just play football.
05:23 >> Yeah, appreciate that.
