00:00 Emmanuel Macron will receive on Thursday party leaders to discuss the conflict in Ukraine
00:04 ahead of a parliamentary vote, and after having shaken the possibility of a military presence
00:08 on the ground that revived the divides before the European elections.
00:11 "I think it will clarify the positions," said the head of state to some journalists
00:17 Tuesday on the eve of a trip to Prague.
00:18 "It's a moment of truth," said his entourage, evoking cracks in unanimity and
00:24 was still seen last summer on support for Kiev.
00:27 The government spokeswoman Priska Teveno even judged Wednesday "quite obvious"
00:32 that the National Assembly was not aligned on the position of the executive which is
00:36 to refuse that Vladimir Putin wins.
00:38 On the way to the Hague, Prime Minister Gabriel Attal also accused the National Assembly of
00:43 supporting Russia more than Ukraine.
00:45 The executive thus replaces war at the heart of the political debate, and therefore of the
00:50 campaign in view of the June scrutiny.
00:51 While the National National Party, led by Jordan Bardella, is running largely ahead in the polls,
00:57 the President of the Republic asked his ministers to fight foot to foot on Wednesday
01:01 in the Macronist campaign that will be launched on Saturday during a rally in Lille.
01:05 "Do not let the nationalists in.
01:07 They were already at war.
01:10 They are now the defeat against Russia," hammered Emmanuel Macron in front of his government.
01:15 His camp hopes to dig this threshold in favor of a series of appointments.
01:19 The president, who promised to go to Ukraine before mid-March, thus held Wednesday
01:25 at the Elysée with his predecessors François Hollande and Nicolas Sarkozy, just before
01:29 the meeting on Thursday at 10.30 with the leaders of the political formations represented
01:33 in the Parliament.
01:34 He must present to them in Huisclot the results of the international conference to amplify
01:39 military support for Ukraine organized last week in Paris.
01:43 The French strategy will then be the subject of a debate, followed by a vote, in Parliament,
01:48 on Tuesday at the National Assembly, then on Wednesday at the Senate.
01:51 However, this debate is announced to be agitated.
01:53 Not so much on the subject of the bilateral security agreement signed in mid-February
01:57 by Emmanuel Macron with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, on which he formally carries
02:02 the vote, but on account of recent presidential statements.
