Limang taong magtitigil-operasyon ang Philippine National Railways bago matapos ang buwan. Para mapunan ang ruta ng PNR, bus ang tugon ng Transportion Department.

00:05 To fill the route of the PNR, the Transportation Department is boosting.

00:12 Up to 25,000 passengers are depending on the Philippine National Railways.

00:20 Many students and businessmen are choosing the divisoria where the PNR station is near, like Noymi.

00:27 But on March 28, PNR will stop operations from Alabang to Tutuban

00:33 to provide access to the North-South Commuter Railway or NSCR project.

00:38 The last day of the operation is March 27, Merkules Santo.

00:42 The closure was postponed to Semana Santa so that not many people will be affected.

00:46 It will be closed for 5 years.

00:49 It's hard to operate that line.

00:53 At the same time, construction might affect the safety of the passengers.

00:58 The commuters were surprised and worried about the closure of the PNR.

01:02 We will look for a closer alternative to buy or to go back.

01:09 It's costly for us because when we go to PNR, it's only 20 pesos.

01:18 Because when you commute here, you have to pay 100 pesos more.

01:34 they will put routes for buses on the same route that PNR runs.

01:39 For example, if you are used to ride PNR here in Tutuban Station,

01:43 there will be buses to ride.

01:46 It's like the same line. There are around 25 buses that will operate every day.

01:53 At 5 in the morning, the buses from Alabang to Tutuban start their journey.

01:58 The last trip is at 6.10 in the evening.

02:00 At 7 in the morning, the first bus to go to the southbound station from Tutuban to Alabang.

02:05 The last bus to go to Alabang is at 9 in the evening.

02:08 Last year, the PNR route from Calamba to Laguna was closed.

02:13 Until Alabang to Muntinlupa, the PNR part of the longer North-South commuter railway

02:18 that can run from Calamba to Laguna to Clark in Pampanga in just 2 hours.
