00:26 The National Security Council has issued a statement

00:30 in response to a complaint from some Filipinos

00:32 that some Chinese and Vietnamese are engaged in cyanide fishing in Bajo de Masinloc

00:34 and Marisol Abdurrahman was arrested.

00:35 According to the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources or BFAR,

00:38 this is information from some Filipinos.

00:41 Our Filipinos are engaged in cyanide fishing in Bajo de Masinloc

00:45 and Chinese fishermen are using cyanide

00:50 to fish and also to destroy the coral environment, the marine environment

00:57 so that the Filipinos will not benefit from it.

00:59 The Council is now submitting the BFAR report

01:02 in response to a complaint to be investigated.

01:04 What we said in the BFAR is to complete the documentation, evidence and affidavits.

01:09 It is now challenging to prove that there is a destruction of coral in Bajo de Masinloc.

01:14 If it can be proven, it can be sent as evidence

01:17 to the Department of Justice and Office of the Solicitor General

01:20 that it is doing its job in filing a case.

01:26 we cannot tolerate environmental degradation in our seas.

01:31 they are now continuing their verification in the complaint of fishermen.
