Ukrainian Photographer has Shrewsbury exhibition.
Meet Lora, from Welshpool, a Ukranian Photographer that has some of her work now displayed at Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery.

00:06 amazing pictures behind your work. So just fill us in a little bit
00:11 about yourself, where you're from, where you're living now and the project you've
00:15 got here.
00:17 My name is Laura, I'm from Ukraine. I came here about two years ago.
00:21 Now I'm living in Welshpool, it's Powys. This is Wales.
00:29 And this is my project which I made when I lived in Ukraine in 2021.
00:35 This is mostly about the authenticity and the natural beauty.
00:44 And the main thing, I don't know, do you see this picture?
00:49 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:51 On this picture it's mainly the natural, everything you see on the picture
00:57 is made from nature, so what nature has given to us.
01:01 You will see wood, you will see natural material like linen, eggs.
01:07 And if you see, this is the plate, it's handmade pottery.
01:14 And the print on it is Ukrainian artist's masterpieces.
01:20 So it was like a series of pottery based on Ukrainian masterpieces.
01:26 And the lady, she's also Ukrainian.
01:30 And everything, like the main condition was she should be without any artificial things on her body.
01:41 So all you see is only a little bit of makeup and all the rest, everything natural,
01:48 like your hair, the color of your hair and all the rest.
01:52 And have you managed to continue with your photography over here being based in Welshpool?
01:56 Is it something you've managed to carry on doing?
01:58 Yes, I want to continue this project, so it will be like a series.
02:03 This is the first series of long project which I want to continue.
02:09 And I didn't think about how to do the next series,
02:14 because for example this series I created more than a year.
02:18 And it was exhibited in London, in underground of London.
02:25 And this is the fourth exhibition.
02:28 And also it was not awarded, but honorable mentioned by different awards, online awards, photography.
02:41 And one of the last one, it was British photography awards.
02:47 And maybe, I don't know, maybe I'll be a winner of one more, but I will know about it in the middle of March.
02:54 So is Wales your home now or what's the future for you in Ukraine?
03:00 Have you settled here? Do you see yourself staying here or would you like to go back to Ukraine?
03:07 We want to stay here with my daughter, because she already goes to school and I want she will be safe.
03:16 That's why we moved from Ukraine, because of the situation.
03:20 And until the war in Ukraine is going, we would like to stay in a safe place.
03:26 After it will finish, we will decide.
03:30 They are very beautiful images, very soft and gentle in their lighting and so on.
