00:11 Arguably the biggest surprise of the night was when Poor Things star Stone won Best Actress
00:16 over Killers of the Flower Moon's Lily Gladstone. While both delivered lauded performances and had
00:21 won precursor awards during a close race this season, Gladstone was the predicted winner of
00:26 many high-profile Oscar pundits. Gladstone's loss was just one of many for Killers of the
00:31 Flower Moon. The film went into the evening nominated for 10 awards but left without a
00:35 single trophy. Also going home empty-handed after seven nominations was Bradley Cooper's Maestro.
00:41 Some pundits thought the film could triumph in the makeup and hairstyling category,
00:44 but that award, like a number of other craft prizes, went to Poor Things. Poor Things also
00:49 won Best Costume Design and Production Design, two categories where some pundits expected Barbie
00:54 to prevail. Another surprise occurred in the animated feature category, where the boy in the
