Le Tour de Catalogne s'achèvait ce dimanche par la traditionnelle étape finale autour de Barcelone et sa colline de Montjuïc. Longue de 145,3 km, cette 7e et dernière étape proposait comme d'habitude une première partie en ligne avant d'arriver sur le circuit final à parcourir six fois et comprenant la montée d'Alt del Castell de Montjuic (2,7 km à 4,7%, les derniers 800 m à 10,5%). Et c'est un sprint en peloton réduit qui a eu lieu dans la capitale catalane, avec la victoire de l'inévitable glouton Tadej Pogacar ! S'il n'a cette fois-ci pas réussi à s'isoler, le Slovène d'UAE Team Emirates a fait parler sa redoutable pointe de vitesse pour devancer et frustrer deux coureurs français, Dorian Godon (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale) et Guillaume Martin (Cofidis), plus fringuant en cette dernière journée. Aucun changement à signaler au classement général, Pogacar est sans surprise sacré roi de Catalogne avec une avance colossale ! Le top 10 final reste donc inchangé, Pogacar s'impose avec 3'41" sur Mikel Landa (Soudal Quick-Step) et 5'03" sur Egan Bernal (INEOS Grenadiers)... un véritable gouffre en seulement une semaine de course !
