00:00 We're back with Tony Robbins.
00:01 He's about to reveal the number one decision
00:03 you can make right now today to have real wealth.
00:05 Now, you say real wealth is much more than just money.
00:09 And I want people to hear this.
00:10 It's really, really important.
00:12 What's real wealth to you?
00:13 I think real wealth is living life on your terms, right?
00:16 You know, some people's idea of that
00:17 is three beautiful children.
00:18 Some people wanna write poetry.
00:20 Some people wanna build a business.
00:21 It's really whatever's gonna fulfill you.
00:23 I really tell people you need two skills
00:25 to really have an extraordinary life.
00:27 You need to master the skill, the science of achievement.
00:30 Like, how do I take what I dream about and make it real?
00:32 And I've spent 40 years of my life focused on that.
00:34 But then the second lesson I think
00:36 might even be more important,
00:37 and that is the art of fulfillment.
00:38 Because if you're successful but you're not fulfilled,
00:42 that's the ultimate failure.
00:43 You know, we saw Robin Williams, who we both knew.
00:45 Beautiful soul.
00:47 I travel around the world, you're asking everybody,
00:49 how many of you love, how many people in this room love,
00:51 not like, loved Robin Williams?
00:52 Or any of you loved him?
00:53 Look at this.
00:54 It's 99% of the room.
00:56 There's only 1% jerks that don't like him in this room.
00:58 (laughing)
01:00 But here's this man who was the ultimate achiever.
01:02 He created his own TV show, he became number one,
01:05 he then said, "I want a beautiful family."
01:07 He wanted more money than he could spend.
01:09 Then he said, "I wanna make movies."
01:10 Then I wanna win an Academy Award for not being funny.
01:12 Did all of it.
01:14 And he hung himself.
01:15 - Yeah.
01:16 - And it's a disaster because you think about
01:19 hundreds of millions of people love him,
01:20 but worse, his family.
01:21 And I know no one here is gonna hang themself,
01:24 but here's a man that made everybody happy but himself.
01:27 That's the ultimate failure.
01:28 It's like when you get on the airline,
01:29 the first thing they say to you is,
01:31 when, if there's a problem,
01:32 the air mask comes down and put it on your child.
01:34 No.
01:35 They say put it on yourself, which sounds selfish,
01:37 but if you don't take care of yourself,
01:38 you can't take care of your kids,
01:39 you can't take care of the other people.
01:41 So I think the art of fulfillment's really critical.
01:43 - So what is the science?
01:45 Break it down for me.
01:46 I mean, you just did some wonderful interventions
01:48 on members of our audience.
01:49 - Well, just opening them.
01:50 - Yeah, open them.
01:51 Usually it's hours of work, which I've seen you do,
01:54 but there is a tactic that you,
01:57 a series of tactics that you offer us.
01:59 - Yes.
02:00 I think really the science of achievement
02:02 is to understand that there are specific rules of the game
02:05 around areas.
02:05 Like if you wanna build wealth,
02:07 I went and interviewed the 50 smartest people on the planet,
02:09 the Warren Buffetts, the Ray Dallias, the Carl Icahns,
02:11 and said, what are their rules?
02:13 Because if you sow the same seeds,
02:14 regardless of your age, your color, your background,
02:16 your gender, you'll get the same rewards.
02:18 So when I'm looking to help somebody,
02:20 I'm really looking to see who can I model?
02:22 There's three steps.
02:24 All of you in this room, think if you would,
02:26 if you're at home, what's something in your life today
02:28 that once was a dream or a goal
02:30 and maybe seemed impossible when you first thought about it?
02:33 How many can think of something like that?
02:34 I'm curious.
02:35 Good.
02:36 How did you achieve it?
02:37 Because the best way to learn how to achieve
02:38 is model what you've done at your best.
02:40 And if this seemed impossible, how'd you do it?
02:42 I'll tell you three steps,
02:43 most basic things everybody does.
02:44 First, you become obsessed about it.
02:46 You become so focused.
02:48 Who can remember thinking about this constantly?
02:50 Can you remember that?
02:51 And so what happens is wherever focus goes, energy flows,
02:54 and it gives you the energy to follow through.
02:56 But the second step really is taking massive action.
02:59 If you've got the energy and you go,
03:01 "I don't know where to start,"
03:02 throw a rock and where that drops, start there.
03:04 Talk to the next person.
03:05 Just take massive action and keep changing.
03:08 If you want to speed up the result,
03:10 you find someone who's already getting a result you want.
03:12 They've lost 30 pounds.
03:13 Do what they did.
03:14 They have a relationship that's passionate 20 years later.
03:17 Let's figure out what they're doing.
03:18 That's the way that you do it.
03:19 And then the third thing is if you really know
03:21 what you want and you're obsessed by it,
03:22 you got all this energy and drive
03:24 and you're taking massive action,
03:25 you're changing your approach, you're doing what works,
03:27 the third thing we need is grace.
03:28 Some people call it luck.
03:30 Some people call it God or grace.
03:33 And I really believe that the more you focus
03:35 on the grace in your life, the more you have.
03:37 Like if you do the first two steps,
03:39 grace tends to show up when you do your part.
03:41 But I think we're all living in a world
03:43 where we drive on streets we didn't have to pave.
03:45 We read books that we didn't have to write.
03:48 We go to an internet we didn't create
03:49 and those answers are there.
03:50 We are blessed and the more you know you're blessed,
03:53 the more alive you are, the more fear disappears
03:55 and faith shows up and then you find yourself taking action
03:58 and you truly become unshakable.
04:00 - Let me go to the art of fulfillment.
04:02 It really changed my life when I realized
04:04 that I was really good at the science of achievement
04:07 but I really hadn't worked on the art of fulfillment.
04:09 It just wasn't where my mind was.
04:10 - Me too.
04:11 Me too.
04:12 - And I bet a lot of folks can join us.
04:13 You make the point that the best way
04:16 to really fulfill yourself is to give and grow.
04:19 - That's correct.
04:20 - You phrase it the opposite way, grow and give.
04:21 - Yes.
04:22 The reason is happiness can be found in one word, progress.
04:25 I mean, I'm sure you've all,
04:27 who's ever achieved a goal and after you achieved it,
04:29 you went, is this all there is?
04:30 Who's had this experience, right?
04:31 It's the worst thing, it's worse than failing
04:33 'cause if you fail, most of us will persist and find a way
04:35 but if you succeed and you're unhappy,
04:37 you're basically technically screwed.
04:39 - Technically.
04:40 - That's a technical term.
04:42 - Scientifically sneaking.
04:43 - Scientifically turning.
04:44 So if you wanna shift, what you have to realize
04:47 is this two million year old brain
04:48 is always looking for what's wrong.
04:50 So you have to realize that's not my thought
04:52 that I'm worried about my kids.
04:54 That's been around forever.
04:55 And what you have to do is make the most important decision
04:57 in your life.
04:58 You don't have to, but I did this two years ago.
04:59 It changed my life.
05:00 I decided life was too short to suffer.
05:02 Now I would have never thought I suffered before.
05:04 I have the most amazing wife, four kids, great mission life.
05:07 But if you look at life,
05:08 everything you do is one of two states.
05:10 It's either a beautiful state, a high energy state,
05:13 or it's a low energy state of suffering like frustration,
05:16 worry, concern, stress, resentment, fear.
05:20 And all of us as humans tend to go those.
05:21 And I used to say, well, I would get stressed.
05:23 Of course, that's part of, I have 31 companies.
05:25 We do 5 billion in sales.
05:27 I have a busy life.
05:28 But I realized it's still suffering
05:31 and I don't wanna suffer.
05:32 So I created a 90 second rule.
05:33 It's really simple.
05:34 If I feel myself starting to feel that stress,
05:36 I realize it's all small stuff.
05:38 And what I do is I go,
05:39 look at that funny little thought going by,
05:41 that thought that's been around forever.
05:43 I breathe slowly and I find something to appreciate
05:46 or something to give or something to love.
05:48 'Cause when you appreciate or you're in gratitude,
05:50 you can't be angry and grateful simultaneously.
05:52 You can't be fearful and grateful simultaneously.
05:55 So every day, every day I put myself in this state.
05:58 First thing in the morning, I take 10 minutes
06:00 and I train my nervous system to be in that state.
06:03 Thank you for watching.
