00:18 Christ says, "The kingdom of God is not meat and drink."
00:27 Christ says, "The kingdom of God is not meat and drink."
00:34 Abhishek is saying, "But in every special day, all I see is meat and drink."
00:48 That's how people celebrate.
00:51 So where did it all go wrong?
00:57 If Christ is saying that the kingdom of God is not meat and drink,
01:01 then why do we only see meat and drink?
01:05 And his words are both figuratively and literally true.
01:18 Millions of animals would have been slaughtered just for the New Year Eve celebration.
01:28 And you know, statistics are that 40% of that meat, chicken, ham, beef, bacon,
01:42 all that is going to go waste.
01:45 Because in festivals, people tend to purchase more than they need.
01:49 Then they throw it away.
01:52 So of the millions of slaughtered animals, millions have been killed just to be dumped in a waste basket.
02:15 Where did it all go wrong?
02:20 It didn't really go wrong at any particular point.
02:24 It is always continuously going wrong.
02:29 It's not as if something happened in the historical context and because of that mankind is suffering.
02:37 It is always continuously going wrong.
02:45 Whenever man will fail to or refuse to understand the essence,
03:01 he would start living in the peripheral, the inessential.
03:17 Jesus comes.
03:22 He says a few things.
03:24 What he says arises from his essence.
03:44 He never wants followers.
03:48 What Jesus wants is more Jesus.
04:01 Because only when you are a Jesus can you understand Jesus.
04:06 So even if Jesus wants his words to be understood, he will have to first create more Jesus.
04:22 So he speaks.
04:34 But he has made his body the medium of speaking.
04:39 The words are coming out from the corporal mouth.
04:50 They have their limitations.
04:54 The body is limited. The lifespan is limited.
05:07 In spite of the trueness of his essence, in spite of the sincerity of his desire,
05:27 yet there is not much that Jesus can do. Not much that any Jesus or any Buddha can do.
05:40 Jesus was not born by another Jesus.
05:52 The birth of any Jesus is always a mystery.
05:59 The same mysticism that a Jesus alludes to is also responsible for his birth.
06:11 Just as God is unknowable, similarly the father of Jesus is unknowable.
06:20 And it is no coincidence therefore that God is the father of Jesus.
06:24 Both are unknowable.
06:29 Now a Jesus is fathered by God and Jesus is trying to create more Jesus.
06:35 How will he do that with all his limited means and resources?
06:40 And all of 32 years of life, how will he do that?
06:50 There is nothing else that he will try.
06:53 He has no expectation other than wanting more Jesus.
07:03 Nothing short of that will satisfy him.
07:11 But you know, had God wanted more Jesus, he would have simply produced them.
07:35 Why would he leave it upon Jesus to produce more Jesus?
07:41 Surely God has not undergone some family planning program.
07:50 He is not obliged to have only one son.
07:57 It would have been great had he had a few daughters as well.
08:09 Jesus is trying hard but how can he go against the wish of his own father?
08:17 In Christianity, this is taken as suffering in the sacrifice of Jesus.
08:28 In Christianity it is said that God loves you so much that he sent his only son to redeem you.
08:39 And you killed his only son.
08:43 India looks at it a little differently. India says no suffering, no sacrifice.
08:48 Just Leela.
08:57 On one hand there is the force of Maya.
09:05 On the other hand there is the call of truth.
09:11 And the continuous interplay of these two is the world.
09:19 The ego and the center. What else is the world?
09:25 The two centers. That is the world.
09:32 So it never really went wrong at any place. Whatever is happening is continuously happening.
09:41 On one hand we suffer. On the other hand you also realize why we suffer.
09:49 The equilibrium sometimes shifts a little this side, sometimes shifts a little that side.
09:55 And nothing great happens on either side.
10:00 Existence will continue in its ways whether or not you suffer.
10:07 Even if the entire mankind is wiped off this planet, that makes no difference to the universe.
10:17 Let everybody be killed. It makes no difference to anything, any grand plan.
10:25 Things will continue to be what they are and how they are.
10:36 But it makes a difference to you.
10:41 To the total it does not make any difference.
10:44 But it makes a difference to you.
10:48 The game is on. There is Maya and there is the call of Jesus.
10:57 To God it doesn't make a difference because just as God sends Jesus, Maya too has been sent by God.
11:09 So to God it doesn't make a difference who wins.
11:13 But to you it makes a difference.
11:16 If you are not with Jesus, you will suffer.
11:22 Are you getting it? You will suffer.
11:25 So you better choose your side carefully.
11:37 Jesus was not preaching to existence.
11:40 Jesus was not preaching to God either. Jesus was preaching to you and me.
11:47 We better be careful.
11:50 We must know that festivals are not about meat and drink.
11:56 We must know.
